BF'ing is going better now but I am looking Forward to some kind of schedule so I can leave the house with her. I'm not so good at feeding without the boppy or pillows and the couch.
Good! It took me a couple weeks to feel like I could leave the house with DS. And honestly, I've only done it once by myself. I've been spoiled with my DH working from home, so I usually just wait until he's home to take care of DS for me to leave. It'll get easier!
Someone has made two rounds through my neighborhood, knocking on doors AND ringing the doorbell. The first time we were all up so nbd but they just did it AGAIN....while AJ's napping. RAAAAAAAGE. they're lucky he stayed asleep otherwise I'd probably still be cussing them out
I'm excited that I got some good deals today. In the AM we picked up a rug and matching curtains for DD's room from someone on Craigslist. I'm really excited b/c it's a large wool rug ad both items are from Pottery Barn Kids in really good condition. Then we went to a end of season sale from a kids' consignment shop and I got DD 20 items of clothing for $19.
On a less angry note, I ran 8 miles this morning! First time since roughly this time last year. Running a half marathon on 5/3 doesnt seem quite so farfetched after all...
I'm starting DS' transition from the RNP to the crib today. He's down for his first nap in the crib. I'm having a hard time not watching the monitor like a hawk.

Lots of randoms
H bought M very non mm Helly Hansen raincoat jacket type thing. I was rather pissed but he wore it today and looked so stinking cute.
I have been listening to M growl his crib for the past half hour when he should be napping but he is having fun so whatever.
M has one scrapped knee, one bruised knee and now a bruise on his forehead from tumbling around and walking into things and instead of feeling bad I love it because he looks like such a little boy. MOTY. For record none of these things seemed to bother him when they happened.
we actually went to Target this morning and ended up buying so much we really didn't need. Back to being Amazon Prime for life. The actual item sometimes might be more expensive but it still saves so much money.
cinco congrats on the run and good luck at Boston. That is awesome you are running it. So jealous. One race I know I could never qualify fo.
I just took a nap and it was the suck. Took me forever to fall asleep and then I woke before my alarm. Not fair. DH just came over to the bed after his shower and made a lame attempt at making a move on me. I shut it down because, no, that's not how this works.
I need to fix my hair a get dressed. But I'm feeling lazy. We're headed to the mall after DD wakes up.
Oh and my pizza baby started to cry when I asked if she wanted some leftovers for lunch. She asked for her binky instead lol. She's been asleep for two hours.

3/4 of our household (H, me, and baby) are down and out with a cold. Poor DS is pitiful ... forgot how much it sucks to have a sick little one. DD, meanwhile, feels great and is going nuts being cooped up with our lazy selves. It's cold and rainy, and I seriously have no motivation to get off of the couch this weekend.

DS (4.5) was sent home from Pre School yesterday for being out of control. He wasn't listening or responding to the teacher and wound up trying up hit her. He has major impulse control issues. He knows that it us wrong, but just tends to shut down when a transition goes badly.
My 3 yr old whose behavior was SO bad there for awhile has really improved lately! The past 2 weeks he has been doing great. We have been super consistent with praising his good behavior and working on our sticker reward chart. He has his moments obv what kid doesn't but I'm so relieved we have a good streak going. I am hoping it sticks around for awhile.
AW-DS slept through much screaming last night during the UK/UL game. Vent-DH has been gone most of the evenings and today helping do stuff at church. I'm tired of being on DS duty all the time this week.
Off to my friends' AW-y giant gender reveal party today and feeling pretty snarky about it. "Yaaayy! What genitals does your fetus have?! I am so invested!!"
At least there will be cake.
I know you've all been on the edge of your seats so I'll end the suspense - it's a girl. The cake was, sadly, only mediocre.

Lol!! Boo for mediocre cake! That's the only reason to go to such events!
today I gave her sweet potatoes. she kept looking at me like "wtf mom I'm not doing this myself!" then picked up the pieces and tossed them all on the floor.
DH has been MIA for most of this week, including today, DD vomited everywhere at a birthday party, only took a one hour nap, and DH just informed me that my MIL is stopping by later. The house is a wreck. FUCKING FUCK FUCK FUCK. I just want him to take DD and leave the house for a few hours when he gets home and I don't want to have to chit chat with nosy MIL and pick up the house.

Boring Saturday trapped in the house due to rain and a cancelled music class. DD was cute though and thank god for whoever uploaded Yo Gabba Gabba live on YouTube.
On a high note, we gave her cows milk today and so far, so good. Fingers crossed she's outgrown her allergy!

That's what I was thinking. He will be going to work for a few hours today and officially goes back Monday. We might try a walk in the stroller to start.
I felt this way to start, but it does get easier. I was actually out on Friday and learned that I could nurse DD while standing and holding her! A far cry from when she was a few weeks old and I had to be in just the right spot with just the right pillows around me to support her in the exact right position.

Kids are gone for five days to mother in laws. Wasn't sure if it would feel like a vacation staying at the house with DH. It does, we have been very lazy and the sex certainly is just as good as hotel sex.
