The actress who plays Arya is amazing. I loved her end scene. What a badass. I love her.
I can't wait for next week. Can't wait.
Oberyn. Was he bisexual in the books? I don't remember that detail. I am glad they put his backstory in, even though I still had to connect the dots for my husband.
I loved the episode! Agree that new Dario or whoever is nothing special. I didn't realize it was supposed to be the same character until twitter told me!
Also, let's keep book spoilers out of the TV spoilers thread! I'm still behind in reading the series ( on third book). I know some things happen but not when.
I haven't read the books, but will just say that if series doesn't somehow end with Joffrey getting what he deserves, I will be pissed. And poor Jamie. He just needs a woman #nothissister

My H has a mancrush on Bronn.
I'm pretty sure that yes, he was. At least, there are plenty of rumours of it.
Dude, Oberyn was the best. The guy playing him was awesome. Love Oberyn. I can't remember him being bisexual in the books, but he was definitely very sexual and at home with his sexuality so it's not much of a stretch.
I would watch the Hound and Arya traveling the countryside fucking people up indefinitely. The Hound makes me laugh... "hey give me a head's up next time if you're going to kill someone." LOL!
I also love Jamie. Cersei is such a wretched bitch. I think the way she treats Jamie is the only time I actively hate her, because the rest of the time, her snarky bitchiness and evil acts amuse me.
And Grandma Tyrell doesn't fuck around. I love her.
Shizz, I need to hurry up and get to reading the 5th book before the show catches up. This reminded me. Can't wait to watch the episode. Read almost all the books so nothing is spoiled for me. Cannot wait to see how the wedding plays out in the show. I was dying when I read it in the book. I couldn't say anything to DH so he has no clue what's going to happen. It was pretty hard to keep my mouth shut all these months when I knew such awesomeness went down.
I'm pretty sure Oberyn is at least implied to be bisexual in the books. I got the impression that pretty much the whole Dorne crew is up for whatever.
I still wish Daenerys wasn't in the stories. I find the Westeros crew a lot more interesting than anything she's done in the books up to this point. Maybe if she ever makes it back across the sea she'll start to matter more to me.
Also, Tywin Lannister is MH's favorite character. The build up to his ultimate fate is killing me. I just want to tell him what happens. Killing me!

Hush your mouth! I don't know what you are talking about and don't want to

I wonder if we'll see the Sand Snakes because hell yes. George RR Martin writes some bad ass women. Just not Sansa.

I'm just concerned that the series will overpass the show. I'm pretty sure we will have The Winds of Winter before the show hits that point. But since B&W know what GRRM is doing, there's a real threat that we could find out what happens in A Dream of Spring before the book is out. And that would depress me.

I'm sure we will. Between Arianne's plot, Doran's plans, the Sand Snakes' plans, and the fact that Sarella is... uh... most likely in Oldtown, makes me sure that we will see them.
Especially with who we meet in ADWD, Dorne NEEDS to be shown. And the Sand Snakes are a wonderful, kick-ass part of that. <3
And I'd disagree with Sansa. She definitely started as a pawn but from what she does in the two most recent books and with the fact that she has a "somewhat controversial" chapter in the next book, I'd say she is definitely becoming a player.

I am making no commentary on whether Sansa is a player in the series. Shae is a player. She's not bad ass. Sansa is a factor in these stories but no bad ass.
Sansa is Elizabeth of York, imo. You know, the daughter of Elizabeth Woodville and Edward IV who married Henry Tudor and sealed up the wars for the English throne. That's what I'm betting on. I know eclaires disagrees with me but that's where I'm putting my money.

Okay, I misunderstood. She is definitely not who I would think of as a bad ass.

If this happens I will have to wait to watch the part of the series that surpasses the book. I really enjoy reading the book before watching the show. I don't want the show to spoil it. Right now it seems like the show is still on book 3 and hoping it doesn't move too fast otherwise what you mentioned will happen. Didn't they already put a end season to the show? I can't remember how many seasons they had planned.

I think I remember hearing 7 or 8? They already have the general arc of plans from GRRM and from what I vaguely remember, they were very firm that there is a shelf life on the series and they are not going to drag it out. This isn't going to be a 15-season series.
I think part of it was that the books move way slower but the actors are aging and they don't want to have to re-cast.
Speaking of Oberyn and the Dorne/Elia connection, for all of those who have read the books and may or may not subscribe to the "Jon is Lyanna's son" theory, did you pick up what the Red Viper said?! Something about how his sister was married to Rhaegar, and then he left her to take up with another women. Um, YES. He didn't rape Lyanna, Rhaegar was actually in love with Lyanna. I love how everyone fucking knows this except for Robert, Catlyn and Jon Snow, apparently.
And when Joffrey was going through the book of the Kingsgard he came across Arthur Dayne, the Sword of the Morning, who was killed by Ned and Howland Reed at the Tower of Joy (although I have my doubts that NED and HOWLAND REED could really take on the kingsguard), so I feel like they're trying to slip in those clues and references to the Lyanna story.

Between that and the blue rose, I feel like GRRM/D&D we're practically jumping up and down yelling, "THIS IS FOR YOU, R+L=J PEEPS! ARE YOU HAPPY NOW?"
I would read an entire book about Dorne and the Dornish characters. They are by far the most intriguing people in the whole series to me. Probably because Martin hasn't spent AS much time on them as on some other characters and they still have so much potential (especially Arianne).

I think she has the possibility to end up in a political marriage, but George RR Martin's books are all about turning typical tropes on their head, and I think in Sansa's case, she'll end up with actual power, not just being married off. The women, in particular, are written in a way to be sort of subversive, so it makes more sense to me that she would end up fitting some of those normal tropes, but not exactly.
Sansa will bring the political gamesmanship to the House of Stark that it is severely lacking. Without it, the Starks are doomed to fail all over again, because none of them are equipped to play the game in that way without her learning from Littlefinger.

I definitely think that the way she is left in the books she is poised to turn in to someone that will become a real force. She's resisted learning for a long time, but I think she's opening up to the idea of not being a pawn anymore.

Yeah, I started to explain that line that way to DH but then I realized it's not in the books. It's just really obvious as far as I'm concerned.
