Most of you know that DH usually gets two free trips a year for work (legit free, unlike arbonne lol) and we just got the new book to pick from.
Some of the highlights include:
- Switzerland, Colorado or Utah ski holidays - st kitts, BVI (private island that looks cool), various Hawaiian islands - morocco, Canary Islands, Greek islands cruise, med cruise, Berlin, Amsterdam - Sydney, Auckland, Hong Kong - Bali (at the four seasons too!)
I would have a hard time picking two - they all seem pretty amazing.
They are divided into program 1 and 2, so we usually pick based on time of year and what works for us with the kiddo, or child care.
i really wanted to go to Thailand or New Zealand already, but the timing wasn't great so we did Hawaii and Germany (still awesome).
our first choices right now are Switzerland ski trip or the big island in program 1, and either Greece or Bali in program 2.
Sometimes the the trips fill before we can book them (based on qualifying dates, bonuses etc) and then you end up with your 3rd or 4th choice. We joke that it's such a "terrible" thing to only get our 4th choice which is still awesome.
like, if Greece and Bali fill, we could end up in Mexico (las velas), Carmel California, or Colorado in the summer. Still cool but not Bali!
Interlaken hotel is the Victoria- jungfrau grand hotel and spa; we also get 4-day ski passes to schilthorn and grindelwald. I'm not a big skier, but DH is. Plus we'd try and bring his parents who are big skiers.
Are you flying economy or business? This dictates my choice.
Yeah, that would influence me too.
I would probably go for the Sydney, Auckland, Hong Kong trip if you are not flying economy. Well, I actually might pick that anyway because I would never want to pay for those flights myself. Paying my own way to Europe or Hawaii is much more likely. Also, Hong Kong is awesome and pretty child friendly if you are bringing your son.
I have heard not awesome things about Bali recently. Nothing really bad, more along the lines of it being over-hyped.
I've flown to Australia in economy three times now and it isn't a big deal. Put on your headphones and zone out. Of course I'd prefer business, but flying economy wouldn't deter me from choosing the trip you'd like best.
Yeah I have done Indonesia RT twice, and DH has done it at least 15 times, all in economy. We will almost certainly be doing it with a young baby/toddler as well. It sucks a lot, but absolutely worth it for the experience & destination I think. I just go to this dead/happy place and sleep as much as possible.
