I wish I remembered the name of the hotel (either in Paris, Suttgart, or Prague), but I saw a 1 star review that was pretty much racist. The woman was complaining that she was SO UNCOMFORTABLE the hotel had ALLOWED women wearing BURQUAS stay there. There was even an awesome reply from the hotel defending the burqua wearing women.
I also find it funny when someone says how rude the hotel staff is and then the hotel replies rudely basically proving the reviewers point.

I agree that bad reviews on TripAdvisor are funny. I once read one about a woman who was staying at a hotel overlooking Central Park and she complained, "I looked out my window and all I saw were trees!" Seriously.
Brits comment a lot on whether there's tea and coffee in their room. I read some fussy reviews about Egyptian sun, sea and sands resorts in which the Brits were annoyed at having to request the tea and coffee to their rooms ... in Egypt! They would also crack me up with comments like, "Wonderful sun." Haha, as in, "This hotel has wonderful sun." Yeah, you're only in the desert! Big surprise that it is sunny! They tend to comment a lot on breakfast reviews in the UK so I guess I'm not surprised that they do it elsewhere.
I'm not dissing Brits though. I think that bad tourists come from everywhere. When I went on that flight to Egypt there was a Slovenian guy who started loudly singing, "In the jungle, the mighty jungle, the lion sleeps tonight," as we landed. At that point I thought, "Yep, every country has its black sheep."

You can report stuff as inappropriate, which I totally would have if I saw that.

I'd also PM her and call her a c*nt.
But then you wouldn't see how well the hotel handled the bigot. They were great in telling her to eff off and still remain graceful.
I just read one the other day where the person came back to her room and the maid had used the bathroom. She was so disgusted she had to go get cleaning supplies and clean the bathroom before she could use it. Really?

The breakfast reviews don't bother me, it's a good thing to know for people who like breakfasts, but I don't like it if it effects the rating. I don't care what's written in the description as long as the overall rating isn't effected by things like: far from the airport, it rained the whole trip, the bar sucks...
And as for the elevator... I actually think it's something I would like to know. If I'm looking for a place with an elevator because I have kids and a stroller, then knowing that the elevator is tiny and may not fit the stroller is a good thing to know. Actually, there's a hotel in NY that I love, but it has the slowest elevator I've ever experienced. Something like 10-15 floors, lots of rooms on each floor, and one small (not tiny), slow elevator. I've stayed there everytime and each time there's always a conversation by people in the lobby about that thing.
I wouldn't want the rating to be effected by that, but it's good to know.

How did she even know?! If the maid left a floater in the bowl, I think I'd be a little grossed out too. Otherwise I can't imagine how she knew the maid used it, rather than just cleaning it.

She said she came back while she was in there, knocked on the door and then asked her if she just used the bathroom for "her own use".

Weird. If the maid was still there, couldn't she have just cleaned it?
