We got a potty because he's been expressing interest. Sometimes he asks to sit on it. Never has he ever actually used it to go. We aren't pushing it and are in no major rush.
I've been meaning to ask this actually and maybe this is the right thread for it. Violet does not seem bothered by a dirty diaper, at all. Is this normal at all? If we ask her if she pooped, she says yes/no appropriately, but she would never tell us on her own. She's happy to hang out in her own poop. (Ick.)
I think they are just weird about it. V lies all the time now, I'm assuming bc she doesn't want to stop doing what she's doing. It doesn't bother her at all to sit in it.

I don't know if it's "normal", but it's the same for us. She won't nap with a poopy diaper, but she'll do everything else with one.

Luke just started caring this week. Last week it was normal for him to not notice. I think they will start to care

I think this is normal. Emmy hates diaper changes so if I ask her if she peed or pooped, she says "no" and lies to me about it.

We're PTing Linus in a month or so and I have a feeling Fiona will want to be involved. I haven't decided if it will be easier or harder to do 2 at once... Linus was ready a while back then got too overhwlemed so we stopped. Then my wonderfully helpful MIL thinks it's like so incredibly awesome to put the kids on the potty, so while I was ginormously pregnant kept hyping up the potty and taking it upon herself to put them on there. I nixed that because I did NOT want to PT while I was 8-9 months pg. Somehow she thinks I want her help doing this and that it's her place, but whatever... Anyhow, Fiona was involved in this sitting on the potty with Linus both times and every time he did it she wanted to. So whether she actually PTs or not this time I'm assuming she'll be trying.

My brother and I are a year apart in age and my mom PT us both at the same time. She would say that it was easier to do that way, probably because once you are in that mind-set, you might as well knock two out.

We will not even consider it until she shows WAY more signs of readiness. With the boys we did this, and had very few accidents, little to no discouragement from "failure", and just an easy overall transition. I imagine she'll be ready in the next 6 months or so.
Isn't possible to poo train ? L only goes once a day or every other day. He also has started hiding from me when he does it like it's embarrassing or something then lets me know. Do I need to poo train him?
I have no desire to pee train ( or poo train, really). I'm hoping he just decides to pee in the toilet on his own one day. LOL
Here. I tried a few weeks ago, and it lasted long enough for two shrieking like I'm killing him rounds of potty sitting and three underwear changes. We will be waiting until I'm done working.

My kid is the same way. Me: did you poop? L: yes. Me: come here so I can change your diaper. L: nope (and goes fleeing from the room until I chase her down). She will probably be wearing diapers to kindergarten.
Max is like this. From what people have told me, this means they're not ready for PT. I am horrified when Max wants to hang out in a poopy diaper!
