It's interview time at our house. We have a potential nanny coming at 4:45 and another at 5:45. We then have a potential housekeeper coming at 7:00. Another nanny at 10:30 tomorrow morning. It is my husband's birthday, so probably some cake and sex somewhere in there.
I am going to try to meet my friend tomorrow and do something around Newbury Street with her. GTG at night and hopefully visiting more at RnR's house after.
I had an interview today and will be anxious until I hear back. Tonight I am going to dinner and a movie with someone. He likes me, but I told him I only want to be friends and he is apparently okay with it. This should be interesting!
Tomorrow: Meeting up with one of my future roommates, then a friend in the area, then going to the GTG! RockNVoll: I can come over afterward. You and your husband are wonderful hosts!

Be careful with the guy--dinner and a movie with just the two of you sounds to me like he wants more!
Great!
Thanks. I have been on a date with him in the past and, while I like his personality, I am just not attracted to him. I was very clear about only wanting friendship. I will not make plans with him in the future if he doesn't demonstrate that he is fine with that tonight.
ETA: Never mind! I ended up cancelling so I could stay home and relax instead. I will be socializing plenty tomorrow.

LOL, I hope I didn't freak you out into cancelling! Enjoy your night of relaxing!
It's all your fault! LOL.
Thank you! I spent the last hour explaining the principles of viral replication to a friend who is involved in some interesting, but seemingly unrelated research. It was a fun conversation! Now I am watching Shark Tank and wishing I had an investor-worthy idea.

Shark Tank really is full of sharks. I've only seen the show a couple of times but I always want to yell at the TV/entrepreneurs, "Just get a loan from the bank!!!" They all seem to be profitable businesses so they should be able to get some loans and retain full ownership rather than give away so much equity at the crap valuations they're always giving them...plus the sharks sometimes negotiate royalty deals for themselves! I'm telling you, those sharks are making out like bandits.
Good point. I think part of the appeal of the show for these businesses is the free marketing. Sometimes they follow up with entrepreneurs who went on the show and failed to make a deal and it seems that they often experience a surge in sales following their TV appearance. But, like you, I am frequently astonished at the deals the sharks get. They take big bites!

TGIF! Tomorrow I'm heading to NYC with my BFF for dinner and a Broadway show. I can't wait! Sunday is family day and house projects to get it ready to sell.
les and RockNVoll: I love watching Shark Tank! I love seeing their cool inventions and ideas, although I do feel bad for a lot of them because they get so ripped off. But sometimes you can tell they are pretty desperate for the help or $$$.
liveintheville: how was Captain America? We didn't end up going since it was such a beautiful day. We went to the Merrimack outlets instead. Haha, shopping with the illusion of being outside. man I love that place! Found cute new shoes for $19.

How fun! What show are you going to see?
Good luck with getting the house ready. Hope it sells fast!
Neil Patrick Harris in Hedwig and the Angry Inch. It was amazing. And his legs are incredible.
