Good Day, I am new and I am here becasue I p off someone on FB by trying to discredit dr. Megan MD.. I love this board and I am quite amused by your posts and your pasted in witty pictures. I am also learning. but I knew that Dr. Megan was full of it, for one the lifstyle she lives is not available to everyone. She must be a "teabagger".
Also does crazy "doctor" Heimer talk about disease burden and health care costs due to "minor" problems like measles, mumps, chicken pox, etc? Maybe you or your child might not die, but that doesn't mean there aren't other negative effects of these illnesses (time off from work, ER visits, etc). Let me guess she also a degree and expertise in health economics?
Oh, Megan Heimer's kids don't go to the doctor. She has things like honey and ginger in the house. And warm compresses.
Not vaccinating your children has real costs. From a purely economic perspective, there is a pretty solid incentive for making vaccination a worldwide requirement. In a 2011 article for Wired, Maryn McKenna found that to treat a single 14-person outbreak, two Arizona hospitals had to spend $799,136 to contain the disease -- a cost that doesn't include the man hours spent by the state's department of health.

We appreciate that you disagree with the anti-scientific misinformation insisted upon by this woman, hexnut. Be careful that you do not do more harm than good with your arguments' credibility while you fight the good fight.
