A has double ear infections. She wouldn't stay down last night until after 11 when I brought her into bed with us, then she was up at 6. I had to force Advil down her throat and hide her amoxicillin in her milk, which she still won't drink because fucking H filled up the whole cup when I asked him to fill it halfway. Minor fucking detail, H, except when I need her to drink the whole damn thing so she gets her meds. She drank exactly half.
The poor thing is miserable, and so am I. I told H I'm running away.

When I give River medicine I just grab his head in one hand and shove the liquid dropper in his mouth with my other hand. Have you tried that? Sometimes if he's really grumpy I'll wrap him in a towel.
It's killing me she won't even take the Advil. It's like freaking candy. I've been distracting her with something in her hands, then putting her pacifier to her mouth and when she opens, I squirt some in. She is in bed now, hopefully for at least a few hours.
My drink of choice lately is milkshakes, so I'm sending H out to procure me one.

Hmmm... can you add something to it for flavor? DS had the white stuff once to. I ended up mixing it into a banana smoothie for him. Kind of a pain, but he drank it down. He was the ear infection king for a while, it seemed like he had one every 2 months or so.
I might try a smoothie again in the morning. I've been making them and trying to sneak in yogurt and pedialyte but then she doesn't drink them. On vacation she stole my expensive breakfast smoothie three days in a row and the damn thing had spinach in it. Go figure.

One of the human pharmacies I get River's meds compounded at will make it chicken flavored! Maybe that would help A.
I only know this because I thought I was going to be funny when they asked if I wanted it flavored by responding with "well it is for a cat so only if you have chicken *snark/gigglesnort*" the lady was like "yeah we can do chicken"
I thought I was so funny and she just thought I was weird.
Also, other funny medicine story. Little Mel had a really bad cold and Mamma Mel got her some cough medicine and some Tylenol to help with pain. Mamma Mel gives poor unsuspecting Mini Mel this cough medicine and I took it and immediately spit it out and screamed "its POISION!!! YOU'RE TRYING TO POISION ME!!!
