My grandma woke up at 6:30 this morning with chest pains. She waited until 8 to call my mom so she wouldn't wake her up. Mom got her to the ER right away. They did testing but haven't heard results. Grandma is feeling terrible, diarrhea/vomiting and whatnot. They are admitting her to the hospital. I'm going to get dressed and head up that way.Â
UPDATE: Thank you all for your thoughts and prayers!!
She is doing much better. She did not have a heart attack, her heart enzymes are good. She passed out while in the ER so they admitted her for the night. They are doing blood work every 6 hours.
I stayed up there with my mom until my grandma was ready for a nap. While she slept we went to her house and picked up a few things for her. When we got back she was still sleeping so I came home. My mom just called and said grandma was doing well and my mom was going home for a bit. I offered to take first shift tomorrow morning because I wake up so early anyway.
She truly looked much better by the time I left. I know if my mom feels comfortable leaving her at all that she is doing much better.
Thank you, thank you, thank you so much for all of your T&P. It truly means so much.
Updated again: looks like she has a bug that is going around. She is extremely dehydrated and has terrible diarrhea. She will be staying at the hospital for now.
She is getting a little better every day. Now they are wanting to put in a pacemaker while she is still in the hospital. Her heart rate has been dropping once in a while and they think its best to do that. This wouldn't be for a couple more days I believe.
My mom has been staying with her most the time. I have been up here everyday. It's good to see improvements but still scares me that they want to do surgery. Last time she had surgery (maybe 2006ish?) She almost didn't make it. Please continued prayers would be wonderful.
