I'm taking a break from running and focusing on lifting. I bought a kettlebell and decided to use it for HIIT on non-lifting days. Today was my first workout. 30 minutes almost killed me.

It is tough! I've done a few of Jillian Michael's HIIT-type workouts and it's no joke! Do you have a video you used? I'm always looking for new things to mix up my workouts.
It's BRUTAL. I did a rowing HIIT workout at lunch b/c I couldn't do my normal class and I pretty much died. My director was on the elliptical behind me and was like "You're nuts."

When the rowers arrived at Crossfit, I got all excited because they have games. It wasn't until about 5 minutes later when I wanted to puke that I realized that rowing faster/slower so my medium-sized fishy could eat smaller fish and avoid getting eaten by bigger fish was really just interval training disguised as a game for dummies like me!

I love the fish game! H laughed at me the first time I excitedly went home and told him all about playing the fish game at the gym. He won't play it, I think he's afraid he wouldn't be able to beat my score.
