I have a question about living wills.

Will you be listed as his personal representative? If so, wouldn't you be the one to make that determination?

also, I'm wondering if this is something that needs to be agreed to with the doctor/hospital? I really don't know...just wondering out loud.

There is a difference between restarting his heart in the OR (considering it is a heart procedure) and reviving him when there is only a small chance of a viable outcome. Talk to the doc tomorrow and I am positive he will put you at ease about it. FYI - my MIL had a heart cath a month or so ago and when home the same day.

I think that since you are the PR, you get to make the decisions, but if he wants to put specifics, he can. I'm no lawyer--I'm just basing my opinions on my own living will. I'm leaving those types of decisions to my son.
