I'm the oldest. I wrote an 11 page paper in grade 11 about birth order for a sociology class, and it was so interesting (the research, not my paper, lol. I'm so modest). I think I fit most of the stereotypes.
I put something in between. I'm technically a middle, but I'm the younger middle by 6 years. In some ways, I have some "oldest" tendencies since there's such a gap. My oldest sister fits the oldest type.

I'm the youngest but my sister is 8 1/2 years older than me, so I very much fit both the youngest and only child "types". She fits the oldest and only types also.

I'm the third of four, and always thought that middle child stereotypes don't fit me. But tacocat got me thinking. My brother is older than me by 6 years, so maybe that is why I have some of the sterotypically oldest traits mixed in.

Something I read said that if there is more than a 5 years difference then a lot of time the "types" kind of reset.
I'm the baby but also kinda grew up as an only child. There is a different of 12 years between my one sister, 17 years between my brother and I, and 20 years better my oldest sister and I.

I am the middle child and I fit that profile pretty well. I do not, however think I am bitter but I am the compromiser/problem solver of the family. I like being the middle child bc I feel it gave me an opportunity to take what I saw my older and younger sister do and learn from it to try to be a better older/younger sister. Don't get me wrong I was far from perfect but I enjoyed the perspective of being both and older and a younger sister.
