Hi all, I found this board a few days ago and have been lurking but decided to jump in and start posting! Hope you have room for one more
My name is Kim, I am in my 30's and started running in 2009. I have ran many 5k's, 10k's and Half Marathons but took 2013 off to get pregnant and have a baby My Daughter was born in November 2013 and I have sloooowly been getting back into exercise/running since the New Year but it has not been easy with the terrible winter we have had and an infant who is still up once a night most nights. But, I am trying! Running has always been my therapy so I am determined to fit it in as best as I can
I figured being a part of this board might keep me motivated and it will also give me a place to ask advice and get support when I am struggling!
My big goal for 2014 is to work my way back up to the 10k distance which seems impossible right now! For someone who used to run Half Marathons it has been pretty humbling to start over from scratch but I will get there
Anyway, enough rambling...thanks for reading all that! I look forward to getting to know you all

Congratulations on your daughter and welcome! Is she big enough yet to take in a jogging stroller, or do you just coordinate someone to watch her so you can workout? It definitely has been a brutal winter, but hopefully the weather gets nice enough soon to take her outside with you. {Or perhaps you live somewhere less arctic than Minnesota and it's already nice enough. }
Love of my life baby boy born 11/11. One and done not by choice; 3 years of TTC yielded 4 MMC and 2 CPs, through 4 IUIs and 2 IVFs. Focusing on making the world a better place instead...and running.
My Daughter is almost 5 months so she could probably go in a jogging stroller but I don't have one yet Right now I either run/workout before work or after work and on the weekends when my Husband can watch her. We have no family that live close by so it is just us and we take turns watching her while the other person does their thing. He travels for work a lot though so my working out has been spotty at best these past few months.
I live in Connecticut and it has been a terrible terrible winter...looking forward to the heat of Summer!!

Hi and congrats on your new daughter! I'm "new-again" to running as well- got back into it last fall after training for and running a marathon 8 years ago. After many stops and starts, I finally bit the bullet and did C25K last fall, which was very humbling so I know how you feel. It's great just being out there now and working toward some running goals again. You're in the right spot- this board is a continuous source of inspiration and motivation. Welcome!
Thanks again for all the welcomes! :)I was determined to get up before work today and run (I have a meeting until 8 pm after work so I can't do it then) but my Daughter decided to wake up at 1 am and 4 am and this Momma was exhausted Oh well, tomorrow is another day! I am looking forward to a nice weekend of working out!
