We sometimes DVR entire seasons before we start watching them, so I'm always behind.
But hey, if anyone wants to discuss the first episode of Scandal or Revenge, I'll be glad to discuss it in June. I think we also have Shameless, Nashville, and Veep that we haven't touched yet.
MM and ML had some good threads about The Walking Dead before this season ended. I was pretty happy with that. And we had some good Oscar threads. That's something!
Doesn't anyone watch TV anymore? I don't watch much but on the nest we were hopping during the winter months. So do you watch TV but just don't talk about it? Do we all record and catch up too late? I know I would love to discuss downton abbey but I am 1.5 seasons behind.
I would love to discuss Downton Abbey...the second season. I am now two full seasons behind. I even own season 3 on Dvd and haven't watched it yet. Glad to know I'm not the only one so far behind!
Have you been able to stay away from the spoilers? I was trying so hard to stay blissfully unaware then I was watching Chelsea Lately and Lady Mary was being interviewed about another film that she is in and mentioned about another Downton character dying.
The binge-watching / streaming phenomenon means fewer people are watching the same thing at the same time, which also makes it tough.
And no one on MM has cable, right, so not much to discuss.
Even shows that I watch religiously (Downton, Mad Men, The Bachelor are my 3) I am usually a week behind on at least, so I have to avoid threads for a while for fear of spoilers!
Oh, and House of Cards. I'll also have Orange is the New Black and Downton when they come back.
My boss and I have tried hard to get to the same point on HOC so we could chat about it, and I think we're finally there. It's kind of sad that it's so hard to bond over TV these days.
I'm way behind in all of my shows. My current faves are Mindy Project, Mad Men(so glad it's back), Nashville (shut up, I love it), I caught the first episodes of Mixology and was surprised I liked it. Oh, and I'm weirdly addicted to American Greed on CNBC
The only show I made it a point to follow was HIMYM. And we all saw how THAT turned out
I try to watch The Big Bang Theory every week, but sometimes I forget and just DVR it, catch up with it online if I heard it was particularly good, or I skip it. It's one of those shows where I can't ever remember seeing a "bad" episode (like HIMYM), but some are better than others.
I like watching Bob's Burgers on Sunday nights - it's REALLY funny. I gave up on Family Guy a few months ago. I don't make it a point to watch American Dad, but when I catch it I really laugh a lot. I haven't liked a new Simpsons episode in a long time, but I'm a devoted fan who can't quit it because of how good it was in its prime.
We DVR a lot of shows and watch them during downtime. Anthony Bourdain Parts Unknown, COSMOS, King of the Hill reruns, Diners Drive Ins & Dives, Bizarre Foods, Mike and Molly, Chopped, The Simpsons reruns, Parks and Recreation. MH records Wahlburgers and it's not bad but I don't love it. He also watches a lot of This Old House.
I sort of want to start watching Freaks And Geeks on Netflix. And I tried to watch Doctor Who but I lost interest after two episodes.
I love TV and I often check the Entertainment board, but there it is always so dead! I think it is hard too because I DVR stuff and watch it later. Like, I just watched last week's ep of Grey's Anatomy. I was hoping someone was talking about it but I either missed it or no one else cares. I also watch GOT but avoid the threads because I don't want spoilers from those that have read the books.

Yes! I want to talk about TV! A lot of the shows I watch are getting boring though - like Revenge and Grey's Anatomy. CEP normally has a Scandal discussion. I also watch Mindy Project and Parenthood. And the Bachelor/ette when its on. Oh and Pretty Little Liars.
But I love discussing TV shows and wish the entertainment board wasn't so dead.
I miss it too! But I do think it's because everyone isn't watching on the same day anymore. Plus, we watch way fewer shows than we used to. I think we're down to a few sitcoms and whatever is on HBO right now. So Modern Family, The Middle, Community, Parks and Rec, Veep, Silicon Valley, oh and now Mad Men again. And a lot of the most talked-about shows right now are ones I don't watch - Game of Thrones, Walking Dead, Scandal, Grey's, Parenthood, etc.

I am sort of trying to cut back. I feel like I waste way too much of my life watching TV. I am totally hooked on Walking Dead though, so that just ended. My other show that I really love is Mindy Project.
I watch House of Cards and Orange is the New Black on Netflix also.
I watch The Newsroom on HBO, but that does not come back on until July.
I watched the first episode of that new show Silicon Valley and thought it was good. Might be watching that.
But I dropped a lot of the prime time cable dramas from my rotation quite a while ago and am surprised how much I don't miss watching that stuff.
A lot of the shows I like are on hiatus or have been cancelled/otherwise ended.
For instance, Suits just ended its season. Covert Affairs isn't coming back until June.
HIMYM is over. 2 Broke Girls has been horrible lately. OUAT is going to be ending for the season in a few weeks. Same with Grimm, TBBT, and The Millers.
I stopped watching The Good Wife when they moved it to Sundays b/c they always alter the time due to sports. I got out of the habit of watching Revenge.
DH and I have gotten into TURN and like it a lot. We're eagerly awaiting 24.
I feel like I have an eclectic lineup of television shows I watch- The Voice, Big Bang Theory, Millionaire Matchmaker, Shark Tank, The Profit, Bar Rescue, Law and Order: SVU, and anything on ID Channel (Disappeared, House of Horrors, Dateline most often). I'll also watch OITNB when it comes back to Netflix, and I loved HOC and Breaking Bad.
I watch a lot of TV. I told DH about all the cable cutting on this Board and he about flipped his shit. So that will not be happening in the Genet Household.
Downton Mad Men Game of Thrones (but seriously, can we get threads started on MM? ML has epic GOT threads). House of Cards Orange is the New Black Million Dollar Listing (NY) Big Bang Glee Breaking Bad (total binge watch) Homeland Family Guy

@hannymaren - I thought you were a fan! I know you liked Terra Nova too right?
@supergreen - This is the second time someone has mentioned Helix to me recently. I think I need to check it out.
So I guess I say I watch a lot of fantasy and SciFi
Shows I love (that haven't been canceled lol)
Grimm Defiance Orphan Black (although I no longer have BBC American, bah) Once upon a Time (both series) Falling Skies (I am actually really behind on this, but I like it a lot). Believe Resurrection Agents of Shield The Tomorrow People Being Human (although this just ended, it really was a great show)
And of course I like other stuff that just involves supernatural things Vampire Diaries, The Originals, Sleepy Hollow, etc.
