Thanks for doing all that, elle, and for the thread toledo.
I know Jermys has a soft and kind heart but I hope she doesn't take the dog just to be fully done and clear of the crazy vaba.
Also, I bet someone non-GBCN (vaba-free, if you will) is going to enthusiastically adopt that beautiful dog and give it a very nice home. Yay for Phoebe!
But not the whole story. Â The actual truth (via elle) is that the dog was in heat, could not be spayed, and could not be adopted/reclaimed.
Vaba said they let her have the dog, Phoebe was at the vet for the night, getting fixed in the morning. Â And then later on she said she had the dog at a hotel with her.
yes, I knew the 2nd part, I was just putting out what I remember in this thread.Â
Sorry. Over invested, party of... Well, way more than just me at this point, I'm sure
I'm off to nurse the baby now though so less posting, more liking. My post count and like count greatly appreciate this fishing trip we're all on, though!
I'm confused, who is the man we are talking about here?
Maybe she actually gave her dog away? By "signed over", I assume this guy had legal possession of the dog.
Yeah. I'm guessing what really happened was:
She didn't want the dog anymore and gave/sold it to someone. A man.
This man turned around and surrendered the dog to the shelter. It sounds like he had paperwork to prove the dog was legally given to him. I'm betting she made money off him.
She freaked (or just saw an opportunity to create more DRAMA) and twisted the details to make it look like she was innocent, when really, she just dumped her dog.
Anyone remember the story she told about her mother giving her childhood dog to a man at the grocery store? Maybe she gave her dog to a man at the grocery store.

I am in no way defending her, but maybe she freaked because she didn't think the guy she signed him over to would take him to the shelter? Then came on here and worked an angle that would not paint her in a bad light so she could get the money back to get the dog.
Why she gave this dog to someone else is beyond me. I am so confused anymore.

Well, yeah, but she HAD the money to get her out (thanks to ML) and she's still in there. Which makes her a snatchface, which we already knew.

Doubtful. The shelter wouldn't have taken Phoebe unless this man had proof that he owned her. Which means she signed paperwork giving her dog to him.
Either she sold that dog, or she gave it to someone who had the money to surrender her; because I'm pretty sure there's a fee involved in surrendering a dog.
apalettepassion.wordpress.com/ WHO IS BONQUIQUI!?!?!?!??!

Whatever came of the obituary? Did the idea she made it up ever make it very far?
Sorry for cross posting, but this is the active thread right now.
I googled the shit out of that obit and the only place it was found was on that one website. I looked for her brothers and maybe found one of them. I did find the facebooks of some of the "friends" in the obit and not one mentioned anything about their friend dying on their facebook.
Devin is also not friends with any of her brothers and her mom isn't friends with any of her sons/ devin's brothers.

@bettyhomewrecker33 said she googled the guy in the obit and couldn't find any proof of him having a daughter named devin (outside of the doctored obit).
Public records for me brought up 1 of the children named, Devin, and Devin's Mom. Put it put her "dad" as having the same last name as Devin and not the one in the obit. So who knows.

The obit looked real to me.
It's not uncommon that they take a while to get posted.
Right. I thought people were saying you could submit the form online so perhaps she faked it so she could back her story of "that woman" contacting her on Facebook about her dad/putting herself in the obit.

I found a Devin profile that had "Devin *"dadslastname"*".
