Of course I would be WIDE awake on my first day of vacay. It's ok, Ari is still sleeping and I'm enjoying some quiet time.
Do most people get the day off?
i need to shop for Ari's second party tomorrow. We are grilling and then doing ice cream sundaes as a Passover friendly birthday option. Yum! What ice cream flavor should I get? Can't have any dough type stuff... So cookie dough, cookies and cream, etc is out.
I have to work half day. The dad has a half day at work so there's that. BUT, the mom is all giddy that she bought egg dying stuff for the boys, and asked that I do it this morning. Egg dying with two two year olds by myself. With no outdoor space. Whoooo boy.

turkey hill black raspberry
vanilla swiss almond
The turkey hill birthday cake one is amazing too. It's not too sweet like the other cake flavored ice cream out there.
eta: I just noticed that you can't have any dough, so I'm not sure you'd be able to have this. Sorry, reading fail on my part.
I completely forgot about the Easter egg hunt Eli's class is having today, so I was at Walmart at 11 pm. I bought Nerds and a dozen plastic eggs. They do not fit. Luckily, I had some gum.
H was under the impression that when a cat starts hacking up a hairball, telling them to knock it off would stop it. We were asleep and we hear a cat start the throwing up process. So he sits up and starts yelling at the cat. Fucker, that's not going to do a goddamn thing other than wake up your wife and child. I'm rather pissed off this morning.
I was going to do a vanilla bean, some sort of minty chocolate and then a fruit like black raspberry. Toppings will be chocolate sauce, cherries and maybe sprinkle a if I can find safe ones.

Kate woke up at 5:30 with a wet onesie from pee. I changed her and told her she had to go back "night night." She didn't want to, so I brought her into our bed. She's never, ever slept in a bed, so I didn't think she'd fall asleep. Well, she laid on me, and passed out. She's sleeping by herself, in my bed, as I type. Although I'm happy that she's finally learning to sleep somewhere else besides her crib (especially if we have a rough night...maybe I won't have to sleep on the recliner with her), I'm hoping it doesn't become a habit with her.
I'm going to the mall to meet up with my work bestie who had twins a couple months ago...we're meeting at Barnes and Noble. I'm under the impression that she thinks we'll be able to sit and chat over a cup of coffee while my girls play with the train table for an hour (hers will probably just sleep). Wrong. They'll play for 15 minutes, then want to go walk the mall. I hope she doesn't mind walking.

We are all off today and dc is closed. X and I are watching Bubble Guppies. He sleeps in till 730 on week days and I normally have to wake him up to go to dc. The day we have off he's up at 6am.

Never fails. Mine are always up early when I'm off.
DH got back from work around 2:30 in the morning. (After leaving yesterday at 7:00am). The poor guy is exhausted. I feel bad for him, but dammit, I need to talk to him!!
Noah woke up at 4:30 just singing and talking...until about 5:45. I tried to lay him back down a few times but he would just lay there and sing....at least he was singing and not screaming.
I'm sitting in our hotel in Kuala Lumpur while the kids sleep. H is out on a work dinner. Thank god for iPad. So glad that at our next leg of the holiday the kids will have their own room!!
It's humid here. I got my hair cut and coloured for about $100 which is awesome. Back home it's double that. The Malaysians are so nice.
I'm kinda sick of my kids by now. I'd like to outsource them please and go shopping.

Im working today and most likely a full day. I feel like crap & have a horrible cold. Im thinking of taking a really long lunch (to buy Easter Egg fillers and Easter Basket stuff) adn then Im going to take off at like 3.
I left extra early in order to not be late to our 1 month pedi appointment (we are always late). Well the appointment is at 8:45 not 8:30 and I've been stuck in the car with 2 hungry babies.
We made and tested a couple of homemade finger paint recipes this morning. I had a great time, A was a little unsure about the whole thing ("You mean I have to stick my fingers in that? But its ORANGE!")
We celebrated DH's birthday last night. There's 3/4 of a cheesecake in the fridge, and I can't stop thinking about it. I actually think I hear it calling my name (oddly, it sounds a little like the late great James Gandolfini. I'm not sure why a verbal cheesecake has the voice of Tony Soprano, but there you go.)
I've also finished assembling Easter baskets and done some party planning for A's upcoming do. I LOVE it when I'm ahead of my own to-do list!
Oh and nothing like an Asian salon for the straightest hair EVER. Now if it weren't for the Malaysian humidity it might last past today.?! Gawd and there's no dry shampoo here. At all. I've asked everywhere and everyone has looked at me like I have 3 heads. And I forgot mine. C'mon people, how can you live without DRY SHAMPOO in this climate?!?!?!
I took today off for my doctor's appointment and to run last minute errands for A's party tomorrow and Easter. I cannot express how excited I am to drive around with my county music blaring and to walk freely around stores, taking my time.

We live the same life. Except C was up at 2:00 screaming and only wanted to be in the rocking chair. After three attempts of egging her to lay on the floor after she fell asleep being rocked I took her into our bed WHICH I NEVER DO WITH CHILDREN. she slept until 5:00 and we had to go downstairs.
Also they would be fine playing for 5 minutes at the store then a fight would ensue over the same toy. Or they would be terrorizing the books.
OMG I fear this so much. I HATE his business trips when only having one child. Now I'll have to get both up and out the door by 7am for daycare, commute to work, then come back and pick them up all the while having horrible mom guilt for leaving my kids in daycare 11 hours.
uggggh
How many trips per year does yours do? Mine has only 3 I think. Maybe 4
