I am going to a geeky convention. Tomorrow. I am really excited.
I am bringing DD. It is an all day thing downtown. I can metro in or drive. I could stroller her or carry her in a boba.
I need to consider nap logistics as well.
Originally my plan was to wear her in the Boba and let her nap in the boba. But then I remembered that she is a toddler now. So I am going to go get a kid leash (so I don't die of a million heart attacks).
I don't know what to do. I am stroller adverse in crowded situations.
How do I handle a toddler all alone at a comic convention?
I will always suggest a stroller. If she gets tired, you can put her in it and keep walking around. Maybe there's a "coat check" area you can leave the stroller at for a while?
I hate you. I hate you. I hate you. I wanted to go to that and circumstances being what they are I can't. So I hate you. I hate you. I hate you.
In an I don't really hate you I'm just super jealous way.
Unless your stroller is a monstrosity I would just take the stroller. Your back and arms will thank you. Just be aware that she probably won't take a nap at all, no matter what you do.

I admire you for doing things like this. I wouldn't have the balls. I don't do things a lot because I'm worried about dumb things like what if she doesn't nap? Chances are it'll be fine and you both will have fun!
I think I'd call and ask if there's a place to leave a stroller. Wear her until it's nap time, then transfer her to the stroller. If it's really crowded, maybe you can grab lunch and sit somewhere less crowded until she wakes up.

Bring the stroller. In a convention setting, there are tight squeezes, but it will be too hard to make her walk or wear her all day, and she'll have her own space to retreat to when she's tired.
You should. Real life can wait. In fact, I believe that is an official geek motto.
I'm kinda ragey about the whole thing. We have B's birthday party tomorrow. H took the day off for it. When I asked him, before we planned the party, to at least check if he could get the day off and come with us (because I'm not taking B and a stroller into the city by myself), he refused to even entertain the possibility. So I'm ragey, and tomorrow is B's birthday party (though I use the term party loosely).
After taking B into the city last weekend, I would probably be ok with taking her tomorrow by mysefl, but, well, effort, and tiredness, etc. and we still have her party. I guess I could go by myself, but that's not as much fun. Plus, money.
I hate strollers in crowded areas, so I'd boba it. You can cinch it n tightly to show off your tiny waist, and backpack style totally projects the boobs.

Boo. I am sorry you can't go.
I am terrified of how much money I may spend. I am looking at everything like "I want that and that and that and that....."
We went to the Philly car show this winter and brought the ergo, and a backpack leash for when he wanted to walk around. B was actually really good about walking around and hold our hands. Then we plopped him in the ergo when he started to get tired and he was pretty content to watch people.
