My mom used to call me every time she started eating crunchy pretzels. Only celiac stopped this trend. The first time she called me eating crunchy rice crackers, I put a stop to it.

My mom is also notorious for calling me while she is eating food, but I just tell her she is grossing me out.

Food noises on the phone send legit icky shivers through my body. I would be ragey too. I wish it were not passive aggressive to say, "I am sorry, could you repeat the last thing you said? I couldn't hear it over all the crunching and slurping."
