"I was thinking about getting off on demand, but it sounds like I should be glad that I didn't"
My 3 yo went with h to see my inlaws. It's just me and the baby at home. It's so incredibly clean and quiet here! Paradise! I'm sure I'll miss them tomorrow but I'm enjoying the hell out of this right now.
I have an interview next week with a different department, and I am half excited/half sad about it. I love my coworkers, and I used to enjoy the work I do, but I fell out of my groove when I was pregnant last year and I don't know how to get back into it. There are lots of pluses to this other job, including the option of moving to telecommuting pretty quickly, so I'm just trying to focus on that.

I'm watching 16 and pregnant during nap time, and it gives me anxiety about having another baby. Everything is such a shit show, and they're all such disasters! I have to remind myself that 1. I'm not a teenager 2. I've done this before 3. I actually have my shit together.
My H also cannot watch this show or teen mom bc he says it stresses him out way too much. Lol.
My H got our neighborfriend's hubby in trouble this morning. Neighbors car was parked on the curb and had clearly been in an accident. Neighborwife was in the driveway putting her 5yr old in the car when my H rolled up and asked if her H was ok. Cue confused deer in head lights look from neighborwife and a race to see what the car looked like. Then an enraged look as she walked back in the house.

I got asked to do more work yesterday, so I asked for a raise along with it, and am officially making more working PT in my 30s than I was working FT in my 20s. Wheeeee!
Of course, DH had to pop my bubble by pointing out that I'm getting a 10% raise to do 20% more work. UGH, DH. I pushed on compensation even though those conversations give me the collywobbles, just let me be happy about what I got instead of what I didn't!
Also this means I have some clarity on my work situation for the rest of the year and can plan our summer. I already confirmed our former nanny for care three days a week so I'm feeling good about where we stand.
Ugh. Ethel is puking everywhere because my MIL left our pantry door open while she was babysitting and the dogs got into the giant bag of dental chews. MIL does this with the dogs periodically and always seems so shocked that they ate something they weren't supposed to. They're dogs, lady; not British aristocracy. Arg.
I bought a big ham since it was on sale just to have (we are going to my mom's for Easter). I picked a biggish one because I thought the bone would be big and I wouldn't get that much meat. Not this time, I have like 12 lbs+ of ham in the fridge now. There are only 2 of us! Now I need to google ham recipes.
My husband is getting ON MY NERVES with this stupid driveway bullshit. So far he has spent double our budget for this project, which was a pretty generous budget in the first place, and he keeps changing the plans every few hours. Ugh. Just make up your mind and do it! You've had 6 freaking months to decided on what you want to do.
I just realized I didn't get anything ready for DD's easter basket. ummm. crap. No idea what to get her.
I feel like I am always at Target two days before Easter saying WTF was I thinking waiting this long, because the bunnies are all picked over and there's been a run on everything but nine bins of grass and 9 million plastic eggs. But when are you supposed to shop for this stuff if not this week? Are there really people prepping their Easter baskets like three weeks before the actual holiday? No chocolate lasts that long in my house.

I just got an email from a company that I was "invited to interview" for a position I applied to and I'd get a follow up email with information. Dude, it's a recorded phone interview via a webchat. I need to use a front facing camera phone and the directions say a question will pop up on the screen and I'll have one minute to read it and three minutes to respond. They'll record what I say and watch it at a later time. So no actual person on the other end. Seriously, I am not doing that.
Who would think frozen fruit would be hard to find??? I went to 3 stores, and finally whole foods. I bought so much for smoothies. When i was checking out with tons of fruit, flaxseed and spinach, the cashier was like "looks like you are into smoothies". Lol

When we woke up, there was a horse on our lawn? lol. Just hanging out eating grass. It's one of our neighbors horses, and I guess it got out. It was so cute. This is our first year living out in the country, so things like this crack me up. H and I were both like, ummmm what do we do. haha.
Be honest, did you check to see if it answers to "Joey"
I love my DH but my patience is wearing thin with him. He was laid off two months ago and was lucky enough enough to find another job pretty quickly. It's probably not one he would have taken in a different situation but you know. It's a job. He has come home every day for weeks complaining and depressed. I tried being supportive, I tried encouraging him to apply for something else, nothing works. He just mopes. I want to be a nice supportive wife but I also want to shake him and tell him to make the best of it or do something else. Whining every.single.night. will change nothing.
It has rained every day of my beach vacation. I just can't win with vacations this year! I think we will try to go somewhere else before we move because this is just ridiculous! We also hit the polar vortex this year for reference.

So, in Farmer's thread this morning I said I was excited about naptime today. Was really going to be the highlight of my day.
Well, eff me, the kid fell asleep while eating crackers in the stroller at noon (WTF?!), woke up when I put him in the carseat and has been awake since. Nope. No. Not having it.
We're trying the nap yet again because he is obviously tired, but dear God, if the kid doesn't fall asleep soon, I'm gonna lose my shit. Uggggh.
I have a girls' night tonight and I'm just not feeling it. My BFF is going thru a bit of a mid-life crisis or something and although I'm trying to be supportive she's changed so much so quickly and I just don't feel like we're clicking. I could care less about any of the other people going too. I need new friends.
I got my dog's haircut for the 1st time today. It's WAY too short. She looks so tiny and not like herself. I feel bad but at least it will grow back. Who knew you could fuck up your dogs hair cut?
I just realized I didn't get anything ready for DD's easter basket. ummm. crap. No idea what to get her.

I bought stuff for H's basket (I know, it's a silly tradition of ours) earlier today and he's already down a peanut butter and a cadbury egg.

Why do people feel they need to post hourly updates as to what they're doing on FB? I've got one mom in particular who has posted from every place she has visited today. Just stahp!
