I had about a billion but forgot all but one once I started this post.
The ice cream man is driving down the street with his pied piper music, and I can have none of it because it's Passover. Waaaahhh!!! Not like I really need anyway.
El Tri will be playing IU men's soccer at an exhibition game next weekend, and I'm going. I'm so excited!

I told my kids the ice cream tuck is a music truck, and it drives around the neighborhood playing music to make people happy. I think this year they'll be on to me.
The ice cream truck drives up and down our street all summer long. I swear he stops in front if my house until my kids run out for it. Once I think he even followed me home. He must know I'm incapable if saying no to my kids.
DDs had their first ice cream truck experience last week. They were thrilled, but since when does a freakin popsicle cost $3?!

That is crazy!
I am so old that when I was really little, ice cream truck ice cream was only like a a dime (or maybe less for a popsicle or push up pop), so anyone could afford it. We lived on a street full of kids so the truck sometimes came around twice a day during the hot summer days...but never at nap time. lol
When my kids were in grade school and older, it just seemed too expensive and just not worth it to any of us. Luckily, the ice cream truck didn't come around very often, and my kids were kind of old and didn't really care. They did like that he played Phantom of the Opera more often than Turkey in the Straw.
Where I grew up, we didn't have ice cream trucks/vans, we had the bikes.
So, we always listened for the bells. My parents were probably thrilled there was no lure of the music from the truck. Where I live now (a whole hour south), though, there are trucks everywhere.

We have these bikes in the parks where the trucks can't reach. I love them and I also hate that we can't escape the ice cream mongers.
I grew up in north central Indiana, which makes me a solid Boilermaker. When I am finished with school, I will have one (possibly 2) Purdue degrees. Plus, now that Rutgers is part of the Big Ten, they're my fallback team for when Purdue is dead since that's the first school I went to.
I had ice cream truck ice cream for the first time in my mid 20s. I grew up in such a rural area we didn't have a ice cream truck.
Ditto- still live too rural now. It was a big freakin deal when we were camping when I was little- a lot of the campgrounds had Ice cream trucks come through- my parents let us get it every time just due to the novelty!
Sorry, we can't be friends. But I can be friends with your H.
Despite having never lived in Indiana, I was raised a Hoosier fan. Mainly basketball. My dad went there for graduate school, and my sister went there for undergrad and law.
I live in the land of Penn State fans. And although I grew up in NJ, I have no allegiance to Rutgers (sorry cosmos)
hey! i thought we had a deal!! Ru for football and IU for BBall!
