Lego mini figures for both DS and DD . I bought an assortment of them so they will each get random characters, and can trade if they wish afterwards. Last year DS got lego mini figures and DD got duplo characters.
And I didn't buy a single present. It's all candy in this house. That's what the bunny did for my childhood, and that's what my kids will get for theirs.
Specifically: jelly beans, malted milk eggs, and hershey's eggies. Not that many of any of it, but enough that it will be a sugar binge for a couple of days.

Fruit snacks and cheddar bunnies. Raisins are a good idea, too, so I'll probably steal that idea from you. The Easter Bunny is bringing all of us chocolate bunnies, cadbury eggs, and peeps in our Easter baskets, so we'll have plenty of candy available.
I was just going to have him find the empty eggs. Is that terrible? Is someone going to call CPS on me? In my defense he has a TON of stuff in his Easter basket.
He wont care or know the difference (I'm guessing). Go for it!
For my niece and nephew we do little plastic toys, coins, fruit snacks, candy.

I've already put in the call to CPS on his behalf.
In all seriousness, when DD was his age, the hunt took FOREVER because she had to stop and open every. single. egg. to see what was in it. So you're good with empty eggs.

Candy and money. I did get some matchbox cars, but I think they'll go in the basket. I also got one large gold egg for each kid to find - I have to decide what special thing to put in it.
Raisins look a little too much like rabbit poop for me to even consider leaving it in an egg. In any other format, raisins are great. "Hey, a rabbit left you these little brown pellets that are unpackaged. Eat them now!" Yeah, not going to fly in this household.
