We live on a street that has a bus stop at the far end so a lot of foot traffic, so we have one. We had ADT but switched this week to a local monitoring company that is only $22 a month.
SPECIAL SNOWFLAKE!!! yes, we have a security system for the parsonage but the church pays for it. parsonages are burglarized all the time because people know exactly when the pastor's not home. 11am on a sunday? lots of cars in the parking lot? bingo. we have had 5 clergy family friends broken into on sunday mornings
I'm a pastor and live in a church parsonage. My home was broken into two times in the last 3 months. The trustees finally got their act together and installed an alarm.
I had one installed the day we closed on our home. I pay $6 per month. I live in a low crime area and people laugh at me when it comes up in a conversation that I have an alarm. I have tripped it 2x. The first time I tripped the silent alarm so I do not know exactly how long it took for them to came. But I had been home under 10 mins. The second time it was 1 am and I had them dispatch on purpose. I thought someone did enter the home. It took 7 mins for them to get here.
