I think DS is at a growth spurt, it feels like he's been eating all day. It so hard to figure out when he's supposed to have them because he was early. I know it really doesn't matter, but it would be nice to have an idea when to expect certain things.
I'm scared. C slept a seven hour stretch followed by a four hour stretch last night and was basically sleeping allll day. She is now wide awake and ready to party. This is going to be a rough night...
C just went back down after her regular 10:30pm visit with us. I'm really tired and hoping to sleep in a bit tomorrow. DH had C all day while I was at work and says she was a handful so he'll probably expect me to get up with her. We'll see. I'll probably cave because of the Easter Basket.
We're on wake up #5. I feel bad for DS because this ear infection is kicking his ass. Even rotating Motrin & Tylenol, he's beyond miserable. But all these wake ups are kicking my ass. He (we) haven't slept more than 2 hours at a time all week. He's on a second round of antibiotics, but it's taking so long for them to kick in.
Easter with the ILs should be a spectacular fail with a tired/sick baby. Ughhhh

I can't see how old your ds is but I think I'm going through a growth spurt now. At least, it better be a growth spurt because if this is the new normal, I quit! DD has been feeding almost every hour for the last week. I've had to go back to using the lanolin again on my nipples, ugh.
AJ just went back down. My mom forgot to turn on the sound machine when she put him to bed earlier so its possible that could have contributed to him waking up. Or maybe it was the dog barking. Or maybe he was just up for shits and giggles. Either way hopefully he's back down for the night...
DD is not having a good start. she is usually so good about going to sleep right at bedtime, bit today's been tough. It was hard to get her down and then she has woken up screaming every hour since. I fear the rest of the night! She's got her first two bottom teeth coming through abd maybe that's bothering her?
O just woke with poo everywhere. Everywhere. Bath, nurse, back to bed. His room smells sour. Poor kid had six weeks of diarrhea, five days of constipation, about a week of regularity, then this twice this week. Nothing in his diet has changed, so I don't know what we're dealing with.

Hope it gets better for you!
He's almost ten weeks, but he was five weeks early, so the whole adjusted age thing drives me crazy. Sometimes he seems to hit growth spurts or milestones 'on time' and other times not. I should just stop trying to make sense of it. I hope it gets better for you too! If I remember right, I think your DD is two weeks younger than DS and things really started to improve for us around eight weeks, so hang in there. I told DH at that point that I was actually starting to enjoy it.
Welp. My first MOTN check-in since it started. DS, DH, and I are in a hotel room and no one can sleep. We're watching tv. It's 4am. I hate hotel rooms with a toddler. I so hope the day goes fast and well.

My one week old finally went to sleep after nursing on and off for an hour and a restless hour with DH attempting to calm her. I rocked her on my before moving into the nursery to sit in the rocker. Seems to be doing the job for now. Also, I'm really starting to regret approving a low key Easter lunch at my house tomorrow. What was I thinking???
After the first nice long stretch V has done in a week, I'm still up an hour after she woke up. She was super restless when I came in and got her, then just as she was drifting off to sleep she pooped, so I had to change her diaper. Now she's wide awake again. Hopefully I can get her back down for a bit. I'm not interested in being up for the day at 5, lol.

We are up for the day- he had an 8 hour sleep stretch again and is always SO spit uppy first thing in the morning that I have to hold him up for the next sleep stretch of we get one. I decided not to fight it today since it was after 5... He is so stinkin happy first thing in the morning too- we are sitting across from each other chatting while I have my coffee.
In other news- the last couple if days have felt like such an explosion of development- he is smiling so much more and consistently- I can make him smile now.
2nd wakeup here. I'd need to get up in an hour to get ready to go run so I decided to just go ahead and nurse AJ now. Hopefully he lets J sleep until I get back from my run...
Turns out my fears were unfounded! C finally went down at midnight and slept until 525. She's back to sleep now. She must be in a major growth spurt - I swear she slept for 21 of the last 24 hours.
