DD is refilling the plastic eggs with cherrios and hiding them. It's adorable. Also exhausting because she can't quite open or close the eyes by herself.
We have no plans today, including no fancy meal for the three of us. We normally host Easter, but none of the family wanted to travel to us this year, and we couldn't travel, either. I'm kind of sad about it.

I just ran to Starbucks so I am enjoying a donut and chai.
My mom texted me that she started throwing up with fever, chills and all that fun stuff. Not sure if we will still go to my Grandma's or not. H still doesn't feel great.

Up early to head to church! DH and I are both serving in two services this morning so I don't get to actually attend Easter church, but hopefully the parents of the babies and toddlers I'm taking care of will enjoy the break.
I'm really looking forward to doing the backyard egg hunt with DS once he's up from his nap. I hope he actually gets into it. Maybe once I show him that the eggs are filled with yummy treats. Then later, a delicious ham dinner with friends that I don't have to prepare! This is going to be a great day.
I've already taken 50 pictures of J and he's only been up 2 hours. My mom is here this weekend and she made a cheesecake last night for dessert today. I'm ready to skip the ham and dive into that bad boy. Yum.
Since it supposed to be 70 here today I'm skipping the dress for C and putting her in adorable spring pants and a flowery tee so she can be more comfy. We don't do church but I'm worried the strangers at brunch will judge me. WHATEVER! I DO WHAT I WANT!!!
Oh and J is putting pizza babies to shame with her chocolate consumption the past two days. Plus the videos for the long car ride. Now as soon as she sees the car she says "more Mickey please!" Poty.
I'm pretty sure E thinks today is Chicken Appreciation Day, what with the egg dyeing and chicken-related stuff in his Easter basket. I'm a tiny bit bummed I forgot to buy Annie's bunny grahams at the store, because I kind of wanted E to have a treat in his basket.
Morning! I woke up on my own at 6:30 and j was still snoozing. Snuck off to pee and then back into bed until 7:15. It was nice waking on my own.
DH is still snoozing so we'll see if it's another 99.5% mom day or if he's feeling better.
We have an Easter dinner tonight that's about 45 minutes away. We know the hosts but no one else so my introvert self is a bit nervous. Also apprehensive about how J will do in a non childproof house with a dog and a dozen people she doesn't know. But I'm excited to have an event.

Ds caught on to our Easter egg hunt right away. We handed him a basket and told him to carry it to the living room where I "hid" a dozen eggs. He had so much fun searching for them and then when I opened one up and there were treats inside, it just blew his little mind!
After napping, we're headed off to dh's grandparents' place for dinner.
We went to the zoo this morning and it was fantastic-great weather and no crowds. I love that our Easter tradition has become zoo and then picking up taco truck for lunch.
We're off to visit the ILs with a baby who is having a mild constipation issue. Fingers crossed that he doesn't work it out in a messy way during our drive! (I'm nervous since he'll be in disposables today.)
DD was backed up when we left for our trip this weekend. She got things taken care if when we got to the hotel, but clogged the toilet. Sorry, hotel maintenance man... blame the 4 year old!
I made it one week with no donuts and have been feeling pretty good about myself. Then yesterday my husband's cousin arrived with a Carvel Easter cake in the shape of an egg. I am on my second piece of the day. And there is a cup of extra crunchies! I was thinking about giving up sugary snacks this week, but not until this cake is finished. Besides, I convinced myself a long time ago that ice cream is one of the tricks to maintaining my pumping supply.

It is just another Sunday around here! DD is too young to do Easter, we're not particularly religious, and we don't have any local family, so we're just doing our normal weekend thing.
Today has been pretty great so far. H's work is closed on Easter, so while he normally works every Sunday he's off and home with us today. He offered to get up with C this morning after I fed him, so I got to sleep until 9:30. Woot!
Now C is asleep on my chest and I'm just relaxing watching Forrest Gump while H washes his truck. SS is with his mom this year for the holiday, so I haven't even put his basket together yet, but I keep eating his candy. Whoops!
We get delicious brunch food in a couple hours. Can't wait, even though I have to deal with H's family to get it. Worth it.
I'm in a total funk for a few days. A few unexpected cries later, and we've realized I've entered the "subconsciously nervous about her upcoming surgery" phase.

My youngest slept for 10hrs straight last night before doing a quick nursing session and sleeping for another 2hrs!!! That is a record for him! Happy Easter to me!
Apparently my 15mo old hates goldfish We never keep them in the house so I thought it would be a fun treat for his easter eggs...Nope! I've never seen a toddler not like goldfish!
We had a huge carb filled breakfast and now are all sprawled out watching Frozen while working on our 2nd pot of coffee. Perfect day so far!
DS went to the egg hunt at church and he totally didn't get it. He found his first egg, opened it, and sat down right there in the grass to eat the candy. I couldn't get him to understand there were more eggs with more candy.
All 3 of the other inhabitants in my house woke up on the wrong side of the bed. They are all napping now and it better cure their crappy moods or I'm going to lose it before Easter dinner even starts.

We actually made it to church with DD, and it went well. After communion, she was getting antsy, so I told her we had to song one more song, and then it was time to go. So it's all quiet, and she starts singing Twinkle Twinkle. Everyone around us was cracking up as well.

Another laid back, baby's too young to do much Easterwise person checking in here. Got my long run done (11 turned into 13.1, holla!), hit up Mickey D's, hung out with AJ and J, got AJ down for a nap, managed to have sex without waking him, and now he's awake. Were heading to FIL and SMILS for a bit then my parents for dinner.
My mom and DH are cleaning the house while I nurse DS. Church was a success this morning with DS not making a peep. I think I'm in the middle of a sugar hangover, I should probably stop eating candy.
