My friend's big sister had this one and I remember we were all OMG!!! YOU CAN ALMOST SEE HIS *whispers* dingaling
Oh yes!! How did I forget about that crush? Although it developed later for me, around when I was 18/19. I fell in love with him and listened to the Purple Rain album over and over. Mind you, this was many years after it's original popularity.
I have to catch up on the rest of this thread, but throwing my first crush out there--Shaun Cassidy. I think I've told this story on the board before, but as 6-year-olds, my cousin and I announced to my aunt that we were leaving home to live with Shaun in California. She helped us pack lunches for our trip. I think we made it about four blocks before we decided that perhaps we hadn't thought things through.
A friend and I had pics of him and Parker Stevenson as the Hardy Boys that we folded and carried in the back pocket of our jeans and traded off each day. LOL
My best friend and I had decided to write to whoever was in charge of the Hardy Boys, so we could invite them over. We were choreographing a dance routine on our roller skates to do for them that would make them fall madly in love with us. Shaun Cassidy for her, and Parker Stevenson for me. I still remember how jealous I was when Kirstie Alley won an Emmy for Cheers, and thanked Parker (then her husband) for "giving her the big one for 8 years" in her acceptance speech.
He was on my list. And seeming him all grown up, I feel totally justified. SUCK IT!
I too was a Johnny Depp fan from the first. That's why I feel sad and angry over what he has become. GROW UP, JOHNNY!
I also adored Bret Michaels for a minute there. Look where that's gotten me.
I liked Brian Austin Green until David cheated on Donna, the rat bastard.
I liked Jonathan Brandis too because I was a huge seaquest fan. I crushed on a cartoon character when I was ten. Gambit. I think meshaliuknits will back me up on that one. I also had it bad and for quite a long time maybe still a little for Adrian Paul.
I had that one, too. Actually, I think I probably had about six Prince posters in my room at any given time. I still love him! Finally (FINALLY) got to see him in concert several years ago, and it was the BEST SHOW EVER!
K wants to know why "that purple girl" is so serious.
