I picked 3, 8, and 10. I feel like they're bright enough that they could be used for things worn at the end of the summer, but the colors are substantial enough to transition into the fall and winter. Like, I'd happily make an open-weave scarf with those colors and wear it as soon as the weather got a little chilly at night, then rock it until I needed something thicker and warmer.
Am I making sense at all? It makes sense in my head. . . .
I'll post pictures of the in-progress yarn in a little bit, I'm about to go mix up my dye and get started. It's going to take me awhile, though. I may not even get to putting dye on yarn until after B goes to bed.
So do you dye cotton? wool? Variegated? I dabble at dyeing wool fabric with cushings dye and procion for cotton embroidery thread. Just wondering your process.
