I signed Aiden up for a music/ gym class at the local rec center and the first one was today. It was for 2-3 year olds. He was the youngest one in there by a good bit. She started the class by having them sit in a circle and say their name and favorite animal. I know he is a little behind in speech but this is not something my 2 year old can do. I ended up sitting with him most of the class and he didn't get a lot on the activities. I'm torn between keeping him in the class to start learning being with a teacher and taking directions or just realizing he's too young for it yet.
There was protein in my urine, not alarmingly high but there, urates (sp?) are elevated in my blood work, also not alarmingly high but up and my bp is only good if I'm lying down. I really want to either go home or be induced. This just lying here is killing me. I feel guilty for wanting to be induced at 37+1 but I cannot handle lying in a hospital bed for another week or two. I'm currently waiting for my ob to come by to let me know his plan.
A friend of mine keeps saying things like how horrible it is that I'm here and that I should be home spending my last few days/weeks with D as an only child. I know she means it on a sympathetic way but hearing her say it just kills me because of course I'd rather be home spending time with Daniel.
Sending lots of good thoughts your way. Hope they give you a decision, the waiting is so hard. And I agree don't listen to your friend, not helpful and you need to do what's best for you and baby and Daniel will be happy to have a healthy sibling!
I cleaned the kitchen and then decided to sit on the couch with lunch and watch the roomba vacuum the living room.
Excellent use of my double nap time.
I want a roomba sooooooo bad!
We bought ours because I agreed to give up our cleaning service to move closer to H's work. We let it run every night and sometimes I add a day run if the kids are super messy. Like today.
I have to help it occasionally but for the most part it's great. I still need to clean once a week but it keeps it manageable for me.
My son will not eat, or let me move more than a couple of feet away from him. I hope he's just tired and had too much junk over the last couple of days, instead of this being a sign of getting sick. I do not want a sick child. There's too much going on this weekend!

My mom and my bil do not get along. My mom has been here for hours so I told her bil was coming. She said something about how she's in no rush to leave. So I sent her out for a snack knowing full well she will get lost for a while.
Unsalted saltines are just wrong. Maybe in soup they're ok but the soup is missing from my lunch tray.
Hospital food is so weird. I hope you're doing ok. Remember, you are doing what's best for your whole family. Don't listen to anyone else! It will be ok.
@dragonmommy422, J looks like he's five years old in your siggy picture. I can't handle it.
I know. He had on his birthday boy button yesterday, and even though his shirt clearly said TWO... I was asked all day if he was three, and two people said four. I'm like, No! He's my little two year old!
I wouldn't make fun of me too much, you are next! muahah
I know! I'm depressing myself because I don't even know if I'll go out to celebrate. I went to a wedding when V was 6 weeks, but I can't imagine leaving R just yet! I don't know why. Maybe I'll change my mind by then.

You have to do SOMETHING. Maybe even just a dinner? Champagne is a must.

I booked a special date for DH and I at the a place called Muse Paint bar. You do a painting and they have a bar you can drink while you are doing it. DH is super artistic so he is so excited. I also made reservations at a new restaurant for before the painting!!

I love these kinds of places, you will have so much fun!
I probably would have taken that broth and boiled it for 10 minutes and called it good rather than throw it out.
Had it really only been sitting out for 2 hours, I probably would have done the same or just put it in the fridge as is, but it had been more than 2 hours since it was cool enough to go in the fridge, so it had actually been sitting out for closer to 4+ hours. Not only was DH totally off regarding the time since I'd left, he also apparently had no idea I had finished it well before he'd gotten home.

I was reading Natalie a book that says, "some penguins live in the cold and some live in the heat". She started saying, "no, no!" I told her yes, some penguins live in the heat and she kept saying no. I was thinking there is no way this child really is aware of the habitats of penguins when she pointed to the heat vent in the floor. We refer to these as the heat. She thought penguins dwelled under our home. It was so hard not to laugh hysterically.

Nope. Nope. Nope. Nope. Nope. I would have tossed that shit. 4 hours on the counter is NO GO.
s/o food safety. H will eat two week old leftovers. OMG. As long as it's not growing things, he thinks its fair game. No. No. No. I have to make sure I throw things out after a week or he WILL eat them.
We have another private showing of our home on Friday, and then an Open House on Saturday. I am a littttttle tired of cleaning my damn house, lol.
Any offers yet?
Nope...it has almost a month. We get good feedback, but no one thinks my "palace" is the one yet I suppose, lol. I was hoping to spruce up my landscaping this week before the open house, but it is raining today, I work late tomorrow, and then DH is out Friday night. Boo... How is the great house purge/fix up going for you?

How fun you and R are birth year buddies you will both be 0 this year.
