H makes these. The filling sounds great! He just puts puts about a TBS in the middle like you said then seals it w/a little bit of water. You can steam or fry them, both ways are good!
I just saw this. Mince it all up really well, otherwise when they cook they end up like little meatballs. To seal them, use water and then pinch them hard. If they're not fully sealed, they won't cook up right.
by the way, rubber pants if you have leftover wrappers with no filling, frying them up flat and then as they dry, sprinkle some powdered sugar on. It's like homemade fried dough!
Rough chop all your stuff and then throw it in the food processor so it's really finely cut up. Mix with meat and soy sauce. Drop a small amount in the dumpling wrapper, smaller than you think, and use water to seal up the sides. Steam em, or pan fry, or deep fry, whichever you prefer. They freeze well too, as long as you freeze them in a single layer on a cookie sheet then move to a plastic bag when they're frozen.
