I've just started trying to sell some stuff and I'm having issues trying to figure out the best way to ship.
It'll mostly be clothing, so technically it will fit into a priority flat rate envelope, but that is $5.40. I know when I buy on eBay high shipping costs are a big turn off for me.
Does anyone have an resources or tips on this best way to go about this? TY.
When I sell, I buy padded envelopes from the dollar store or target to ship in and I usually ship first class based on location (ebay calculates it) and I add tracking. If you print your shipping labels yourself through eBay I believe you get a discount
Have a scale so you can have the correct shipping priced out on the listing. That's made selling for me the easiest. You also save money by printing the postage from eBay vs going to the post office. Using flat rate can be very useful too. Don't forget they have small flat rate bubble mailers you can order of USPS supplies for free. They actually fit a lot of stuff.

Sent from my SCH-I545 using proboards
But anything over 13 oz has to be sent priority, right?
I do use Paypal for shipping because it's SO much more convenient.

I'm going to check this out now - thanks!
Yeah once it's 13 oz it's not longer first class. And wither goes priority, flat rate, or Parcel Select. Parcel select is the cheapest option sometimes.
Of the small flat rates the bubble mailers are the best. Those boxes are too tiny. If it's clothes I would fit them in a gallon zip lock as extra protection and place in the bubble mailer.
