My favorite part of Sky Mall is the section with all the creepey statues (big foot, zombie crawling out of the earth, fancy lady lamp with lampshade on head). Who is the target market for those!?? They are not cheap either.

About 15 years ago I lived in a crummy illegal in-law apartment without cable, so the only tv channels I could get were some local ones and shopping channels. One night I felt compelled to buy a 12" non-stick skillet with glass lid. IIRC, it cost me $35 or $40 with shipping. It was actually a really good pan! I used it until last year when I decided to buy a new set of pans to go with my new house.

Yes! This guy is one of my favorites. I would DIE if I saw him hanging out in my neighborhood:
I've also always wanted to see this in someone's home

My last boss had this in his study. It was sturdy looking in person and, more importantly, filled with the good booze!
My niece got me on to QVC. I've never actually watched them, but I visit the website for Beauty and Skin Care stuff and kitchen stuff.
LOL, I need some Philosophy Bath and Lotion for my other for Christmas. I got a good price, spread ove r3 months and reasonable/free shipping to her home in FL. I was thinking decent price for 2 x 16 oz bottles- they were both 32 oz.
Magic Bullet, Wax Vac, Slushy Magic…. The Magic Bullet was the only decent purchase
My friend bought a Wax Vac for her son from Wal-mart. She said it was awful and returned it.
We were "lucky" and got two… DH and I tried them simultaneously and there was no wax inside of the reservoir which for me is believable but DH has very waxy ears. I wish I would have attempted to return it!

I was wondering what a Wax Vac is and now I'm sorry I know.

My dh is addicted to "the shopping channel" (Canadian qvc) and infomercials.
He always buys workout DVDs like,p90x3, insanity etc. He also has a leg magic machine which h swears by. I think he bought that magic hose thing too. I have to rein him in from buying treadmills, treadclimbers etc.

Is craigslist in Canada? I buy all the workout DVDs from the people who bought them from infomercials and never used them. I just got T25 for $40.
i bought a Shark vacuum and a purse organizer from QVC. When I had DirecTV and H worked nights, I put GemsTV on for ambient noise. I never bought anything, but after six months, they kind of felt like friends. And that's when I realized I needed to turn it off and never watch it again.

I have stuff that I bought because I saw them in SkyMall, etc., but that's not where I've bought them. I got a Pocket Hose, which works fine. It's just a hose, what would you expect. I got a Wraptastic, which doesn't work very well on Press and Seal wrap. I got a Hot Dog Toaster, it works fine, except only regular sized hot dogs fit in it.
I bought a my little steamer set (home and travel size) I use them at least weekly. It works great, does spit water, takes very little time to heat up, etc. My mom got steamer envy so I got her a set last Christmas.
Does or doesn't? I'm on the hunt for a good steamer, and having a travel one too would be a huge bonus. Do you happen to have a link?

Ah, those things are from the Design Toscano catalog. We get that for some reason. I have fun looking through it though we've never bought anything from them.
My aunt gave me some of this stuff because she didn't want it. Most of it is still sealed. PM if you want it. It's just sitting in my cabinet...
If she doesn't take it, bring it to the next GTG and I'll take it off your hands!
cgpm You are so kind to offer! What holds me back on actually using the product is that I suspect that it will break out my sensitive skin. I don't know if I would rather be wrinkle free or covered in acne!
RockNVoll You must report back on this miracle product. I might be missing out on something life changing.

It doesn't. I can't type from my phone apparently.

That's why I can't use it.
RockNVoll I'll bring it to you the next time I see you.
I used to love qvc and would get KVZ purses and diamonique. I havent bought her purses in a long time or checked out jewelry. The jewelry held up very good and I always get people asking if its real.

Mine is the page that's meant for drug dealers: a money counter, a safe, fingerprint locks, there's usually like two or three other items.
We bought my dad a bread maker when they were still infomercial material.
When I swam in middle school I had a Shammie (?), which i think became the ShamWow later.
Not yet but I keep threatening to buy that wall-sized crossword puzzle for H. Then I realize I wouldn't see him again for weeks. I can't decide if I like that idea or not, hence the indecision on buying the puzzle.
I don't remember who or where, but I've worked on one of those at someone's house. I'd stay away. The clues are not that hard, so it's just tedious more than anything else. I think he'd either give it up, or finish it and just resent the time wasted
I got my Shark Navigator from an infomercial. I love that thing.
I also bought the miracle blade knives from an infomercial. I still use them daily after 8 years, so good investment for $30.
H bought ShamWows when we were engaged. They were good for cleaning up after the dogs and washing the car. Sadly we lost them all in a move years back.
I love skymall! I've never purchased anything, but it's at least 20-30 minutes of pure entertainment on flights
Totally agree!
For example, I'm always tempted by that pillow thing and laughing at it at the same time. I mean, look at it!
Every flight we take I ask the attendant if he or she has ever seen this actually being used. They say i am not the first one to ask and no...never seen it in person. dh and i play fake skymall shopping spree and "buy" each other things withike $1k, $5k and like $100. I still want the liquor globe
i be typing from me phone. typos and grammer dont count.
