After being pregnant and wearing poorly fitting shoes for too long, my foot is killing me. My Dr said plantar fasciitis, and got me a night splint as well as told me which stretches to do. I normally wear Danskos, so clearly I am no stranger to the ugly shoe club, and at this point I don't care. Any suggestions for comfortable, supportive shoes with good arch support? Even my Danskos are painful now, also, any suggestions for supportive slippers?

I wore these when I was pregnant with my second child and my feet hurt all the time. They don't have exceptional arch support but they are so squishy and lightweight, you might be able to use them as slippers.
Good luck on your hunt! Style is always secondary to comfort, but I've noticed that they comfortable shoe companies have been trying to step it up recently in regards to style, so maybe you can have both??

I had PF a years ago and it was SO painful. The stretches really helped me. It happened right as sandal weather was starting, and I lived in Orthoheels sandals for the entire summer. The name sounds much scarier than they look, trust me. They have even more of a selection now and some are really cute.

Thank you! I love the flip flops. I do have some jelly like crocs, but the arch support is not high enough. I guess I have high arches. I have the brace/splint thing on while I sit in bed and I can definitely feel it stretching, so I am hopeful it will help.
I have PF and it has improved significantly since switching to mainly Orthaheel slippers and shoes. I also find mid height heels comfortable and wearable. I also got some shoes at The Walking Company, but Orthaheel is cheaper. You might find their insoles helpful for athletic shoes and boots you already own though.
My PF was not one of the most severe cases, but it had gotten very bad and I rarely have pain now that I wear good shoes and avoid being barefoot.

Thanks, I'll be near mall with a walking company tomorrow so I plan on checking them out, and I have done orthoheels in my Amazon cart. The thought of having to wear shoes and not be barefoot at home or in my yard this Sumner is making me sad. I hate shoes!
