Yay, I hardly ever get mentioned in threads like these since I tend to keep a low profile on here!
I'd like to meet the NYC peeps, especially 212 since we live so close to one another I'm positive we must have been in the same place at the same time before without knowing it. Also I'm pretty sure Velar Fricative lives in NY and even though she's on CEP I have a bit of a girl-crush on her since she's so hysterical and sharp.
@sfgal530 and I are like ships passing in the night - every time she's in NY, I'm not and vice versa. Would love to meet her one day.

I would most likely meet almost anyone, as long as I didn't feel they were completely crazy from their posts on here. I enjoy meeting new people I've met a few MMers now, and none were awkward, or skin suit like. In fact, all were fun, welcoming, intelligent women.
I can't think of any names off the top of my head that aren't there for silly, "she seems awesome" reasons. For now, I'll say rikki because she is a birthmother, and seems very open about it. I'd like to talk with her about her experience and how we can maybe support and understand what the hypothetical birth mom that chooses us may be feeling and going through.
I would be more than happy to talk to you about this whenever you'd like! I used to lead groups for prospective adoptive parents on those exact topics. Just let me know! I'd love for it to be in person, but since that likely isn't possible (boo!), over the phone or email is great.
I may take you up on this when we are in Boston this summer. We are doing foster to adopt and won't know until the time is closer whether it will be open or closed. There may be some degree of openness.
This is hard because most people I want to meet simply because they are fun or smart or I think we'd get along.
I guess I'll say I want to meet @wandering, partly because of the above reasons and partly just because I'd love to hear more about her time in SA and the places she went while she was there. I also think since we have a lot in common it would be great to have a real conversation. Hopefully we'll be in the same place at some point and can connect!
I went to grad school in the Fox Valley area so I'd be interested in meeting up with that group too, though I haven't been there in several years!

FYI, I am as loudmouthed and outgoing IRL as I am here. I'm probably a little nicer IRL, but let's just say that growing up, my mom chided me constantly for my lack of "tact." Pffft.
I WILL meet @choco eventually. We have related professional backgrounds and just get each other from that perspective. We've had so much fun chatting online over the years and I think we'd have a blast together.
I also WILL meet @sfgal530...we've come close a couple of times and I swear the third time will be the charm. I think we could talk food and travel 'til the cows come home.
I want ijack to make good on her offer of meeting me for dinner at Next in Chicago sometime.
Kore because, well, who wouldn't want to meet her? She seems so fun! But I think that's breaking @hannymaren's very good rules so I'll say I also want her to do my makeup while I'm there, LOL.
@mrsspunky, also because she seems fun and smart and I will need a Medicare/Medicaid advisor at some point, ha.
There are a bunch more that I'm sure I'm forgetting at the moment.
Hell yes!! I'm up for it any time!! Kore because I think she seems so freaking fun. Luckily I'll meet her next month along with swizz and others (I can't remember who all is coming now). farmvillelover is one of the few socal nesties that I haven't met so she's on my list too. Anyone I'm on twitter with basically
I think there are some people who have nerdy/wonky government jobs? like, there was some thread about NTSB or NHTSA or whoever mandating that cars have backup cameras, and someone went and found the agency's cost-benefit analysis? I would want to meet them.
Of all the random things to be remembered for lol. But I'm not quite sure how to take that... If it helps, I don't own a black suit
But I actually do speak bureaucrat quite fluently.

If niq ever comes to D.C., we can have a mutual "people I'd like to meet" GTG. We can go out on rubytue 's boat - as long as she promises not to drown us (that sounds worse than getting skin suited, IMO). I'd like to meet niq, because he reminds me of a bunch of my guy friends in college.
I'd also like to meet rikki - because, like she said, our boys would be BFFs! And, she seems like an interesting person.
And, pennypenny - because she sent me hair stuff in the mail, and seems nice.
And, @shoegal - because, even though she seems like my polar opposite (like, I wear Dansko's every day... and even have a pair of Dansko high heels) something in her posts resonates with me.

It was meant as a complement. Plus, you also hate (I think) Bitcoin! Or at least you laugh at my bitcoin snark. that makes you okay in my book.
I know there are other fairly well placed wonks on the board, but IDK who knows what, so I'll keep my mouth shut.
