Poof!
I am really just posting this so I can AW my MOTY skills. Pizza baby? Meet my taki chip baby. If you have never had taki chips they are neon red and spicy. Kind of like flaming cheetos.

We had pb&j, toast and pancakes for our three major meals today. Carbo loading babies here!
I need to stay up late tonight after class and finish my speech for class tomorrow. I've been putting it off for weeks and now it's biting me in the ass.

Aw, how cute!
My random: I like Halo swaddles bc DD can't break out of them as easily as she does with the SwaddleMe. I almost never put her in the Halo one, though, because it has a tendency to migrate up over her mouth while she sleeps. Today I decided to sew the top of the flaps down an inch or so, figuring that would be enough to keep it away from her mouth. I put her in it this evening, and it looked great - no way it could possibly wind up over her mouth. 5 minutes after I get her to sleep and put her down, H goes to check on her and bursts out laughing. DD had managed to wiggle her hands out the bottom of the flaps and push the flaps not only over her mouth, but over her nose and halfway over her eyes. So much for my ingenious sewing job. I guess Halo swaddles just aren't for her.
My kids eat 95% healthy stuff and I still get a little thrill when they eat and love something totally junky. Guess what I'm eating while you're sleeping, kiddos?
Random question: if you e(extended)bf, do you offer a bottle at night if you're out and used to nursing before bed? Breast milk or Wcm?

Dude I get this! This weekend DS had this first jelly bean and I got such a kick out of the way his eyes lit up. He had a huge smile and was like "I LOVE this jelly bean!"
DH is OOT and I made brinner tonight and my kids loved it. Breakfast is usually their best meal so it's not entirely surprising. I really should go downstairs and do dishes but who am I kidding?
I met with a trainer at our new gym today to do one of those intake assessments and even though I'm chubby, it's not nearly as bad as I thought! Luckily this lady was up on breastfeeding and came up with a plan that limits cardio so I don't burn too many calories but amps up strength training so when I do wean and can really lock down my diet, the weight should melt off because the muscle will be there. I'm legitimately motivated but my baby has got to stop hating the gym childcare, little stinker.
DH had an MRI on his lower back last night and he took the disc of images home with him. We loaded them up in the computer to take a look, even though we don't know what to look for (we suspect herniation(s)). Well, there was a fairly large black area on one side of his lower abdomen-ish area. I am freaking the F out. For some reason he is not anxious about it at all. BUT THAT CAN'T BE NORMAL....CAN IT? I am obsessing over this and am worried sick.

I wouldn't worry. I think cancer/tumors/masses show up as white. I think disc herniation usually shows up as a black spot, but obviously I am not a radiologist and haven't seen the image. I would just say don't worry because images can look very strange to the untrained eye, but that doesn't mean anything is wrong
Also, we just got an alarm system like a month ago and DH has taken the lead on it entirely. I mean, I set it when I leave and all but he has done all the night and morning turning it off stuff. And I'm paranoid that I'm going to forget and go downstairs in the middle of the night and set the whole thing off. I even taped a big sign to the baby gate at the top of the stairs to remind myself.
It's funny that I'm more worried about the security system when I was never really worried being here alone without anything before. Although I am super excited we have it now.

If you have breast milk, I'd offer that. Once I stopped pumping, I just had whoever was putting him to bed give WCM.

This happens with DS too. I've had more luck with the miracle blanket

I feel like all I've done lately is complain. But man, I had a bad day. After dropping DH off at the train station, I got in an accident. I'm pretty sure the girl was texting while driving and came into my lane hitting me. It took forever for the police to show up and I ended up being late to work, missed a meeting, and work was nuts. Then later in the day I find out that my car needs repairs, which is the vehicle I am supposed to drive to Chicago this weekend. GAH! I swear, everything goes to hell every time DH leaves town.
Well that didn't last long (he only slept about an hour). When I went to get him his legs were out of the legs and all curled up by his tummy. I had hoped the 18lb-21lb one would work even though he's about 16.5lbs so this is my fault. So he's swaddled and back in the swing for now.
Do you have a sewing machine? I sewed up the middle past the legs so that dd2 couldn't get stuck in hers when I very preemptively ordered the larger size.

Takis are my weakness!! They are soooo good! My ds likes them too- so weird ( and irritating lol)
J went to sleep so easily at 830, he fell asleep in my arms. Now he's wide awake, but thankfully not crying.
Random- we have three play mats already and a tummytime thingy. I have the urge to go but another play mat. You literally can't see our rug in the living room right now because off all the mats. My reasoning to H is 'They all do different things!' I don't think he is buying my argument.
I just want to say how much I truly appreciate all the support from this board. I can co.e here during my low points lime yesterday morning and everyone is so supportive. Thank you!
Mil babysat DS tonight so DH and I each went out with a friend and my friend and I got pedicures and dinner. It was nice because DH and I connected better after we got home than if we went out together. I think we needed a break from each other to recharge.
DS is starting to break out of the swaddle me, but is probably too small for the Halo sleep sack I bought. I need to check when it's not dark out. I'm tired of being awake when it's dark. Blah.
DS1 has been good during the middle if the night so H has been taking a shift with the baby. He had him until 1:45 giving me 4 hours of sleep. Bless that man!
Of course this means that I'll probably be up every hour now.
Ugh, H has been puking all evening. Whatever he has better not be contagious.
I wish J would get more consistent with sleep. I thought that was supposed to happen by now? Last night he did 7 then 3. Tonight he's been up every 2. This really sucks.
I had a workshop tonight and was gone from 6-11PM. Bedtime is usually between 9 and 10, so I hoped to come home to a sleeping baby, but nope...apparently he put her in the k'tan and let her nap there for 3 hours while I was gone. While I was happy he figured out the baby wearing thing...um, NO. You don't let the baby take an epic nap right before bedtime!
She was up til midnight then woke at 1 and 2 and now 4. Everything is all messed up. And guess who is snoring thru all of it. Grrrr.

Um no... He needs to be getting up with restless babe if he caused the problem, but that's how I roll...
DD3 & 4 puked the day before yesterday. They haven't really eaten anything since. Guess where I am now at 2:30am? Camped out in the bathroom with the barfs. Today is not a good day for this....
