I'm 9 weeks and have been having trouble sleeping. I toss and turn (between waking up to pee) and have been having pain in my neck like I'm sleeping weird. Is this too early to get a pillow? I was trying to just suck it up but I'm so tired at work and didn't know if this will help.
Also, which one did you get? The more C shaped one or the front and back?
I started with a small pillow between my legs for sleeping on my side. It got me through until about 17-18 weeks. At that point I bought a Mini Snoogle, and hated it. I didn't even make it one night with the thing. Then I went and bought a regular old long rectangular body pillow (like you can get at Wal-Mart/Target for $9.99), and it was perfect for me :-) Toward the end I needed to add a small wedge pillow under my butt to keep my spine aligned.
There is some trial and error in figuring out what kind of pillow you'll like. Everyone seems to be different, and some of the Snoogles or bigger pillows are expensive. Keep in mind how big your bed is (there is no way I could have fit a full-sized snoogle in our queen-sized bed, and even the body pillow was a stretch). Maybe try using lots of smaller pillows to see where you need the extra cushioning and support, and buy a pillow that mimics that?
I had major neck pain around that time as well. I ended up getting a body pillow around 16w, and it has been great! Plus I can throw it on our guest bed when I no longer need it.
Eh, I'd do what you need to be comfortable, and don't worry about whether it's earlier than some people use them. I got a Snoogle last time, and loved it! Ditto PP about the size, though. It took up quite a bit of our queen size bed.
Love of my life baby boy born 11/11. One and done not by choice; 3 years of TTC yielded 4 MMC and 2 CPs, through 4 IUIs and 2 IVFs. Focusing on making the world a better place instead...and running.
I just use an extra King sized pillow and put it wherever it's needed! Depending on how tall you are, you might be able to save some money by buying a king sized pillow versus a full body pillow, but they're obviously not as big. I hope you get some good rest soon!

I tried the Boppy brand body pillow, but it didn't offer enough support. The Snoogle has been awesome, though, since I hit about 28 weeks (just used regular pillows before that) - I can even put part under my shoulders and part under my knees so I can sleep on my back, sort of, since my hips have been cramping pretty badly if I sleep exclusively on my side. A little expensive, but (kind of) decent sleep is totally worth it!

I got a regular body pillow (also 9 weeks) and don't really use. It. It's too bulky and takes up too much space. I didn't know they had mini snoogle pillows! I might just have to get me one of those!
I don't care for the Snoogle, but I'm pretty picky about what kind of pillows go under my head. I don't like the head part for the Snoogle.
I also don't think it provides the best hip support when using it between my legs. I bought a body pillow from target (for $9 or $10) that is way better for hip support.
There's been a little trial and error, but I've been using the mini snoogle under my head and around my back, and then a regular pillow between my legs. This has seemed to be the most effective at keeping me on my side and limiting hip pain.

I started with a Body pillow ( or two) and then moved to a Snoogle at about 19 weeks. THe body pillow was a live changer and the snoogle changed my sleeping habits.
