Bummer! Does your ice cream place have any sorbets? That's what I used to get.. Also just a heads up- I thought I was okay with a little bit here and there and then realized I wasn't so had to stop completely. I hope for you that this doesn't happen but just keep an eye

Oh no! I'm sorry
They do make awesome coconut and almond milk ice "cream". Vegan is becomming more and more popular and I was able to find an ice cream place here that serves dairy free ice cream. Maybe there is something like that near you? And sorbet is awesome too.

Nooooo don't say that! I am unimaginative in the mornings and need my cereal or yogurt option.
I have cereal with almond milk and coconut milk yogurt every day!!
I haven't seen any non-dairy ice creams here but I think I could find some sorbet. If not, I'll have to make it myself.
skiesthelimit all of the almond/soy etc milks I have seen here seem to have a lot of sugar added and are really sweet, is that normal?
We only buy unsweetened almond milk so no sugar added. But yes I have noticed that a lot of the flavoured almond milks do have a lot of sugar. I've seen a ton of recipes on pinterest on how to make your own almond milk. I have never tried but if you can't find it there maybe you could make your own. There's also rice a coconut milk. Coconut milk is delicious.
Be careful with soy. A lot of cow's milk sensitive babes are also intolerant to soy.
Oh man I had to cut all dairy with Lily. It just becomes your new normal. I like the "so delicious" coconut milk products and "almond breeze" milk, unsweetened. Not sure if you can get those brands. I made coconut milk ice cream and it was so yummy and easy.

This is where we are. I stopped consuming obvious dairy ie milk and cheese for the last 2 nights. We've had no prolonged screaming fits. I'm really hoping, praying that it's a coincidence and the colic is just on it's way out. I love cheese so much. Like, wth am I going to eat without cheese on it?!
So delicious coconut milk ice cream is super yummy!
Almond breeze vanilla unsweetened is decent. I mean, it's watery compared to milk but it doesn't have sugar added and I like it ok in cereal. (not in coffee though. I have to have regular milk in coffee)
Since you love ice cream so much... what about a "YoNanas" machine? You put bananas in, toppings, and syrups. Turn it on and it comes out like frozen yogurt! I'm thinking about getting one for the summer.

I use Almond Breeze in my cereal too. I like it. I haven't tried coconut ice cream. I don't like coconut, is that a deal breaker? And I've given up my daily decaf because I don't want to use the creamer. I believe there are non dairy creamers that I could look for though.

I'm so glad I came in here. Thanks for all of the suggestions. I like having options in the wings if he is intolerant or has a sensitivity. I believe in coincidences though so I'm hanging on to hope that colic is coming to an end
I don't think the coconut ice cream tastes strongly if you get something like chocolate. So delicious makes non dairy creamer, coconut and soy. Lily can tolerate goat cheese now and I could eat a little when she was about 9 months. Bonus- Oreos are dairy free!

My husband is allergic to dairy and I frequently tell him how much his life sucks (as I scarf down mac n cheese). I've always just bought what he asks for instead of looking for alternatives. This SO Delicious brand looks like it'll open some doors. Thanks!
If you can't buy the commercial almond or coconut milks that most people here are talking about, you may want to think about whether you have access to Amazon or somebody who can mail you someting from there. You can get powdered rice milk via Amazon.

I'm sorry! Frozen Yogurt sent newborn H into overload one day just as we were figuring out her issues. I'm sorry it's off the menu for now. I would try a small serving around 3 - 4 months. Sometimes their guts just need a little more time.

I think it all has a coconut taste so go for the almond milk ice cream.
