My mom was on her way home and the people on the end of her street blocked the road and wouldn't let her pass. They approached her window and tried to spit on it when she rolled it down. They claimed that she was speeding down the street. My mom drives like a grandma; she never speeds especially around kids. They called her names and wouldn't let her pass.
She was so flustered that she drove off and went home. The people are bullies and I don't know what to do. Any suggestions?

Is this racially motivated? I can't figure out what would inspire this kind of behavior aside from them being racist assholes. That is so fucked up. I hope the police take you seriously. It makes me nervous that they know where she lives given their behavior.
Call the cops and say there is a group of people on the street harassing drivers and spitting on their cars. You don't have to leave you name when you call.

Omg!!!! I'm seething right now! They denied it even happened! The officer took the report: spoke to us and the jackasses down the street. The cop was nice, but there wasn't much he could do. The jackasses had no proof mom was "speeding" and we had no proof they harassed her. The officer did say to call if it happens again. Mom plans on calling the police if they so much as walk by the house too close.
I still don't know what triggered this. My mom is friendly with other people in the neighborhood and never had any issues. I'm just so upset for her and can't believe grown people can be so hateful.
The people who were mad at your mom could have called the police themselves about her "speeding". I'm not saying your mom was speeding, but civilians shouldn't take it upon themselves to be the "law", KWIM? I hope the cops follow up on your call.
