What kind of curling wand/clipless curling iron do you prefer? The kind that is skinnier at the end or one that is the same width all the way through? And why?
I just using my regular curling iron and hold it open so I can use it like the ones that don't have the clip - so I have a straight one and like it just fine.
I just bought a tapered wand and really like it. It allows me to get closer to the roots which gives more volume. Also works on my layers a lot better than my regular curling iron.

Oh, I have like 4,372 layers in my hair, so I should probably get a tapered one then!
I like the results with my tapered wand -- more natural looking, because they are less uniform. I can also do curls of varying size if I want, by either using just the top or the bottom of the wand.
