DD1 occasionally will shower with me but otherwise takes a bath. DD2 still uses the infant tub, but pretty soon they'll probably start taking baths together.

DD1 (almost 5) vastly prefers baths because she likes to play in the water, but she will sometimes take showers. She prefers to shower with me, but I hate it because she complains anytime she isn't the only one under the water, so I freeze the whole time and listen to whining while I quickly try to rinse my hair. If I'm in a super rush I make her take a shower by herself -- I stand outside and assist with shampooing hair, etc.
DD2 (almost 1) takes baths, but I have taken her into the shower with me a few times to rinse her off really quickly.

My one year old takes baths, my six year old showers mostly independently (she still needs a little supervision to adjust the water temp, make sure she gets all the shampoo out of her hair, etc.).

Most of the time, all three get baths, but sometimes if we're in a hurry the older two get showers. However, DD's hair really needs to be well conditioned with the conditioner sitting on her hair a few minutes, so that makes showers tough.
How do you shower with your kid? Or with an infant?
I showered with DS3 pretty much exclusively from 3 weeks - 6 months. I would get in and wash myself and then DH would bring him in. I'd wash the baby, call DH back in and hand him back off. It was great those early months because I was showering twice a day anyway (the dried milk smell drives me bonkers .
My 8 and 6 year old go back and forth between showering and taking a bath.

Now at 2 it's much easier. She plays on the floor of the shower (not under the water, like just on the side- I guess it's kind of a big shower) while I wash my hair and body. Then she stands up and I soap her up then I just pick her up and rinse her- she's not that slippery plus she holds on. I would be more nervous with a younger baby that can't also hold on to me but we did it a few times with her. Then I just hold her and we play in the water a bit- drinking it, filling her cup and dumping it on ourselves, etc. She loves it and it's nice, easy and quick for us.
