Starting next week I go to four day work weeks for the summer. Everyone's all "you and C can do so much fun stuff!" and I'm all "uh...sure" while I plan what crap TV shows I'll binge watch in bed while he's at daycare.
(Disclaimer: I'll keep him home sometimes but 3 day weekends really mess him up schedule-wise. Plus we pay for it. Plus water play Fridays!)

OMG - that sounds like an amazing summer schedule! I'm jealous!
Fuuuuck this. We just got suckered into going to MILs 2 weekends in a row because she is jealous that my family is so close and manipulates H by making him feel guilty about it.
Keep a four sided die around. Every time you're invited, roll it. If it comes up 1, decline the invitation
Okay MMM is going to rise up and throw food at me ... our kid EVEN LIKES HAVING HIS TEETH BRUSHED. Seriously, kid, aren't you supposed to hate something?
Will someone please "just you wait" me, and tell me that just because they like it the first few times doesn't mean it'll last?

this would be my dream schedule. and i'd totally send C to daycare if I were you. Think of all the stuff YOU can do (like binge watching tv).
I would love to be a "lady who lunches" while my kid is at daycare.

Just you wait!
DD used to love it but now hates for us to do it. She wants to do it herself. Since she half-asses the job, that just won't do.
My mom still has my copy of that book. She bought it for me when I was 5 and needed surgery. George eats a puzzle piece and sleds down the hospital stairs. I am not sure about pretty nurses.
I'll join this bedtime help commune. h works adternoons at least two weeks a month and has an evening commitment every Sunday. so I do lots of solo bedtimes. and most of the motn because his job is actually dangerous and he needs sleep. it gets kind of lonely :/
I can offer a huge deck with a gorgeous view and walking distance to wineries?
in sleep news - I put R down at 7:30 because he was all signs to sleepy, stupidly thinking he might sleep longer his first stretch. nope. 3,5 hours almost to the minute and waking up at 11 just meant I got to start the shitty part of the night where he's up every hour that much sooner. I can't win we're seriously talking about buying a bed for R's room so I can bed share. I really really don't want to bed share, but efffffff. I need sleep and he does great when I nap with him and give him full access to the boob.

heygrey - Our nights have been a lot better since I moved into the bed in the nursery. I typically bedshare the last shift of the night with N, 5am -8am.
Which brings me to to nights problem - I have a horrible hacking cough. Everytime I cough when she is feeding, she unlatches and jumps a mile. I slept in the guest room tonight just so I wouldn't disturb her but not not sure I'm going to do when she finishes feeding now.

We do this too. Her stretches get shorter as the night progresses and I just don't have the energy to do the whole put-her-down dance when she's only going to sleep for an hour. If it's after 4-5 am, she's usually in bed with me.
heygrey I hope you find a solution that allows you both to sleep longer! That sounds so exhausting.
