I volunteer w/dog rescue (in the SE) and we take in quite a few dogs who have no names. Since there are a billion 'Sadie' 'Buddy' 'Bo' names - we start naming geographically.
for example: we pulled a dog from Monticello, GA (i'm assuming you're in GA b/c of your post) and we named him Monty We also pulled four dogs from a backyard breeder who dumped at a vet and named them all relative to the area.
Is he from a town that has an interesting name? Or a street in that town?
An update. We have narrowed the list to Oscar, Chester, Domino, Jasper, Kirby, and Sebastian.
The dog was really interested in him through the gate. Lots of mutual sniffing. And the cat even gave the dog a hug on his nose. Our other cat is less happy about the new cat. Lots of hissing and growling. She'll get over it.
And the new cat had diarrhea on our carpet... where my H discovered that he has worms. Waiting to hear back from the rescue to make sure he got dewormed yesterday, or we will run him back there for a deworming pill.
He's beautiful! He reminds me of our Tuxedo cat that we lost after only having him for about 1 1/2 years. We called him Wiley, after Wile E. Coyote, but he was kind of nuts.
