I think that, in general, they are cute. However, if I was ever proposed to in that way, I would have to say no. Because the person clearly does not know me at all.
So, if you are single, would you like it? If you are married, pretend you are single and answer.
I would not like that sort of display. I'm a a private person especially when it concerns something like a marriage proposal. I don't want 50 people dancing. I want Me and I want him. Thank goodness my H knows me and it was not a over the top showy affair.
I hate it because it's so much harder to say no in public. Lol.
LOL, exactly.
Plus, I am 100% an introvert. I might die of embarrassment before I could even say no.
Same with stadium proposals.
Brad did it just right. Just him and me on a boat, with a storm approaching and my dad and granddad waiting on us and wondering wtf was taking so damn long. Lol.

Meh. If he did it that way I wouldn't be upset. But I'd prefer something intimate. FTR, I doubt he would ever do a flash mob...A) he is more practical and less romantic and B) he is not showy and definitely more introverted.

I'm just going to sit here and like everything you guys have said! LOL!
I think that a marriage proposal needs to be something more intimate. I don't want a big show. However, something like this does indicate that the person proposing has put some thought and effort into the proposal which is nice.
When I finally said yes to xh, I think it was the 4th time he proposed. He put zero thought into that proposal, or any of the previous, and the beebee in me has always been a little upset that the occasion wasn't something special and intimate.

If it suits the couple, then I don't have a problem with them. For me? I don't know, if stbx had done something like that I may have cried and run away.

My first engagement was on the sidelines of a game and of course they aired it on the jumbotron. I knew I was not going to marry him but how the hell do you say no when 68,000 people are watching?

Exactly. And then you have to be all, "yeah, I was just being nice," later. No fair.
I prefer something intimate and romantic, not a big showy "LOOK WHAT I DID FOR YOU!1!" production. Anyone who would propose to me via flash mob wouldn't know me well enough to be a marriage candidate.
Stbxh did a horse-drawn carriage ride in our city (something I'd told him for years I wanted to do) and proposed when we stopped to look out at the water. The only other person there was the driver. That was perfect.

Lol. My brother proposed to this chick at a Boston Celtics game. She was all "uhhhh..maybe" and later said no. He looked like the biggest jerk.

Ohhh oops.
Oh, it gets better. So then they were like broken up? Kinda? So he started seeing someone else (SIL) but then got back together with Celtics chick. But didn't tell her about SIL. And then she found out and REALLY didn't want to marry him. Lol.

Does SIL know this?
I think so. It was over 20 years ago so my memory is a lil fuzzy. My family ribbed him forever about it.

It is far from my ideal proposal, but had G done this I would have laughed for years. He is just not outgoing type and it would have been hilariously terrible and would have made for a fantastic story.
