I am taking a half day and we are headed to RI for the weekend. It is DHs birthday and he also has a spearfishing tournament. I plan on hitting the beach both days:)

Happy Friday. This was a short week for me. We went just got back from Mexico on Monday and I took Tuesday off, so a very quick week. We have 2 weddings tomorrow. 1 is my bother's and another is a friend. Brother's is in Boston. Small ceremony in the common then dinner at Davio's. That should get over early, then we're going to shoot down to Hartford to make it to the dancing/drinking part of my friend's wedding. Sunday will likely be spent swimming and recovering from said weddings

Today is our first summer Friday. I slept in and am still sitting on the couch in my pajamas.
Tomorrow I will hit up the farmer's market, go to boot camp class at the gym, and then we are off to my SILs house for a wine tasting and BBQ. She won the wine tasting and is very excited about it. She lives outside of Hartford so we are going to spend the night.
TGIF for sure!!! I haven't slept well all week and had to be in early for training Mon - Wed, so I'm *exhausted*! I loved the training though, Project Management. Too bad the consensus here is that everyone is WAY too busy and has WAY too many projects to use PM tools. Sigh.
I'm so excited for the weekend! No big plans, but the weather is supposed to be gorgeous!! We might rent bikes tomorrow or maybe take a harbor cruise to George's Island. As long as I get to sleep in I will be happy.

I had a friend who worked at the Harbor Islands one summer in college. He was like a park ranger through Mass DCR I think. They lived out there and partied hard once the tourists left.
We went once for the day and had a fun time. I actually mystery shopped the ferry company that does the cruises out to the islands (I know, random, right?) so we went for free. I think everyone should go out at least once if they can. My alma mater is hosting a picnic out there this summer and I think we will try to go.

I've heard George's island is really nice. I've been to Thompson Island like a dozen times for work - I don't think I could force myself to go to any of the others, heh.
It's my last weekend before the second round of the summer programs start, so I think we're keeping it low key. I think we may go see Obvious Child at Kendall tomorrow and maybe try Belly for dinner. Other than that, I've got nothing.

We are throwing my daughters 1st birthday party tomorrow! I'm not sure how my baby is already one. We decided to do just family so it will be low key but I'm excited. Sunday I'm going to a baby shower in Quincy.
I am super bummed. I made plans two weeks ago with my college BFF that I haven't seen in months for tomorrow, and she bailed on me by text an hour ago. Sooooo now my weekend is completely open, FI is working, and it's too nice out to stay home and mope and binge watch Netflix.

Oh, that sucks! Did she have a good excuse? It is so pretty out, I recommend getting ice cream and sitting in a park in the sun. I did that when my H was working just to get outside. I talked to my mom for an hour and it felt so good being outside.
I ended up up hanging out with my coworkers last night. We went to a bar across the steet and had a drink. They were very surprised I came (they go out almost every week, this is my first time). Then they went for dinner so I tagged along. I had way more fun than I was expecting! I'm tired now though.
