I'm on my first clomid medicated cycle (50 mg, cd3-7) and have been using wondfo opks since cd 10. They were getting darker and seemed hard to read because the lines were so close yesterday morning and afternoon. On the advice of some TTTC girls, I bought CBE regular digital opks and got a positive last night with it, but the same sample had a negative wondfo.
Obviously I can't be sure, but let's just say I detected a surge around 8:30 last night. Two questions:
1. We had intercourse Friday afternoon, Saturday evening and yesterday morning; what should we do today? Rest of this week?
2. Opks only detect a surge. I've read where people say they got positive opks on Sunday and Oed on Monday. Or positive Thursday night and ovulated Saturday. How do they know?? I'm anovulatory off clomid, so this isn't something I've studied in my cycle. I have no O signs to look for.
You only really know when you O if you temp. That's the only way to tell for sure. I always temp and do OPK's together. Of course, once you start using OPK's there is usually a pattern. I get 2 days of positives and then on the third day a negative..the third day is when I O everytime.

I sleep with my mouth open and have pcos. I've been told either can lead to funky patterns. I temped for 2 months but never ovulated. I then had funky cycles or was back on bcp to stop bleeding up until now. Should I try to temp again, now that I'm on clomid? Is it more likely I'll see a pattern? I know I can vaginally temp, but it seemed pointless without a pattern or cycle.
You can always take your temp vaginally if the open mouth is a problem for you.
I too have PCOS and my temps are all over the place when I'm anovulatory but for the first three months after bCP I did O and then my temps were just right. I too have just finished my first round of Clomid (cd 11 today, took clomd cd5-9j and the Clomid might have caused some high temps when I took them but now my temps seem to be back to normal and if Clomid works and I O I'm sure my temp will show it.

I also have pcos I temp vaginally and can see a clear shift when. I do o. It's nice because I know when to expect my period and gives me sanity when I have cycles that are longer.
