I got a wild hair up my butt and signed up for a free SUP yoga class being put on by one of the local LLL stores in a couple of weeks. If anyone's tried it, be honest...is this going to kick my ass? I'm woefully out of practice, yogawise.
And the most important question-who wants to place bets on how long it takes for me to fall off my boat and into the water? It's a 50 minute class. I'm going with 15 mins. maybe 20.
Oh super fun! I've never been to a formal class, but we have a couple of boards and so H and I try some poses out on our own. I have fallen plenty of times, but also surprise myself sometimes! It's a bit more core-intensive.
I tried SUPing for the first time this weekend and have to say that I can't imagine doing yoga on it and not falling immediately! I am admittedly not great at yoga though. I can see how it would intensify the poses!
Not formally, but definitely did some poses when I was in Mexico recently and took the boards out. It was a really fun challenge. The hard part is doing the asymmetrical poses, obviously. I actually managed a crane pose.

I love it. I've done it a lot. Like once a week. I even got to be in a video out instructor made to promote it. I've fallen in but that's what is fun about it. You just get back on and keep going. I have a few pics I'll see what I can up load when I get home from work later.
