OPK strategy - I have a million questions

I test once a day until the line starts getting darker then it's 2x a day. We usually have sex EOD since every day sex is tiring. Generally you are suppose to stop testing once you get a positive but I like to see the line get lighter ( it gives me confirmation that I did O).

I use OPKs daily until the line starts to get darker and then twice a day (in the am and when I get home from work).

My doctor (and most things I've read) recommend every other day since it takes about 36-48 hours for your H's sperm levels to replenish to higher quantities. That's what we do, but sometimes we'll do a couple of days in a row at -1, O and +1.

I've used OPKs every day from about CD10 and until + and then twice a day once they were dark until it was light again.

I have tried for O-1 and O day as well, as my must do it days.

I use wondfos from about Day 12 ( because my O day is always 16), then when the line starts getting darker I test morning and night. When the lines get really close in color I use a digital CBE to confirm. I test until it's negative, usually about 36 hours later. We tryyyy for every day from CD15-17 but last 2 cycles have gotten lazy about day 17.

when I was doing OPKs, I tested once a day with FMU. my job didn't allow for afternoon testing (I can't sit around with a pee stick in the communal bathroom for 5 minutes) so I rarely tested twice a day. I was able to catch my surge usually.

re: ED sex vs EOD, it doesn't matter as long as your H has normal sperm counts (which I'm sure yall haven't had tested, that comes much later after you've been trying for a while with no success). it mostly depends on yall's stamina. it's hard to have sex every day for over a week and it's just not fun.

re: continuing to test, I tested until I had a negative. typically, you will O 24-48 hours after your last positive OPK. I usually O 24 hours after my positive OPK (I only have one, it's a short surge in my case), so my temp spike often corresponds with my first negative OPK.

the wondfos should be enough, but you can do the digitals to confirm a positive wondfo. I did this for a couple of cycles and now I'm confident I can read a wondfo without digital help.
