I thought I'd share this app that I give to my clients...I wanted them to test it out before I suggested it here. It's called Mindshift and is available on both iPhone and Android phones.
What's great about it is that you can use it while on your phone so you look like you're doing a normal thing (playing a game or typing into the phone or listening to music). Teenagers seem to love it rather than doing a thought record (a type of CBT worksheet I use).
(As the resident CBT therapist) I'll try to share things I find that might be useful to people. And please let me know if you've found anything particularly useful through therapy or online. TIA!
I use this and it has helped me immensely. For anyone with children dealing with anxiety I recommend the taming the worry dragons book, it's really great.
I'm in therapy for PPA, and right now my biggest obsessive source of anxiety is accidentally leaving DD in the car. My therapist recommended I use a post-it app on my phone and every morning write in there what happened when I dropped her off at daycare, with the idea that as I'm walking to my car at night I won't be dreading every step. It seems silly, and it's so simple, but it truly is helping. (I'm mentioning this because you said to share anything we've found to be useful for coping.
