We have the fp healthy care booster, and we're trying to use it without the tray with ds pulled up to the table. He has been pushing himself away from the table by getting his feet up just under the lip of the tabletop. I'm nervous he'll flip the chair and frustrated because he spills more when he's further from the table. Any advice from other fp booster users?
We have a similar booster (by The First Years) and end mealtime if he pushes himself away from the table. He thinks it's a hilarious game-me, not so much. We follow the same thing that we did when he was throwing food...2 warnings and then we're done. If he decides he wants to eat after a break (usually 5-10 minutes) we explain that there are no more warnings.

When did you move from 4 oz. bottles to bigger ones? Is it better for a BF baby to just eat more often or eat bigger bottles? He usually only drinks 2-4 oz at a time, but sometimes he'll take 5-6 at my in laws' (M/F care).
Do you let your babies crawl on hardwood floors? If yes, does it matter if their knees are covered or not (more slippery, OTOH more padding).
1. What books does your H enjoy reading to your LO? H doesn't want to read the books she likes me to read because "he can't do the voices."
2. How do you "properly" clean your LO's ears?
3. If you didn't pierce ears at infancy and you eventually did or plan to, when did you do it? H didn't want to get E's ears pierced at birth so I let it go. Now he wants to, but I think this is a terrible age because she will constantly pull at them. I don't know if I should do it now or wait a couple of years.
1) DH loves "But not the Hippopotamus" (not so much for the voices though).
2) I just use a wash cloth during baths. I'll scoop out a glob of wax if I see it w/a tissue. I figure it's probably not a good idea to shove anything in the tiny ear canal. If you're concerned about build up inside, maybe ask your pedi about OTC ear drops?

You don't have to do the voices! I never have. DH will sometimes do goofy voices, but not "the" voices. DS doesn't expect me to then do the same goofy voices.
I use the safety swabs. (Like these www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B000GCHO38?pc_redir=1404973378&robot_redir=1) A washcloth wasn't really cutting it and these are impossible to get into the ear canal so I'm not worried about hurting her. It's just easier to get in the little folds with these.

2. How do you "properly" clean your LO's ears? No idea. I rarely pay attention to them (parent of the year)

That's when I had mine done.

If your baby is BF'ed, it's unlikely you will EVER move to bigger bottles unless if you have an oversupply. Your body does not produce more milk as your LO grows; the nutritional content of your milk changes to meet your growing baby's needs. If your LO is taking double the milk while at daycare or away from you it's most likely because he is comfort eating.
And yes, we always let DS crawl on the hardwoods with no knee coverings. The slipping was too frustrating with him, and he had plenty of natural padding (aka baby fat!) for crawling.

DS always crawled around on our wood floors, no matter what he was wearing. He was crawling into fall/winter, so he was in pants.

My DH reads everything. He likes Dr. Seuss which I hate reading because of all the made up words.
Warm washcloth. Ears don't usually need more attention that that and you don't need to clean the inside of your ears.
I think 8 would be the earliest we'll do ear piecing.

2. in the bath with a washcloth. No need to get too far down in there and do not use qtips.
3. DH wanted to pierce ears but I nixed it. I don't plan on doing it until she asks. I got mine done as a baby and then one got ripped at at like 5 and never healed back right so that has made me not want to do it early.
I'm freaking out. I usually get 4-6 oz in my morning pump and just got 1 freaking oz. Parts look okay so I am wondering if my pump is broken. I couldn't just dry up that fast, right?
Do babies get morning breath/bad breath? DS sometimes has some rank breath in the morning. We don't brush his teeth because, well, he doesn't have any teeth. Should I brush his gum with some sort of baby toothpaste? Ignore?

Probably not really a workable solution at his age but we got rid of it and he sits in a regular chair now or at his little table, since about 19 months or so. A combo of pushing back and tantruming when we tried to put him in it was the end.
I might just use the tray again for awhile and try without it sometimes in your shoes. When ds did it I would put his feet down, push him in over and over and tell him we don't push back.

I don't mean this in a snarky way, but really? At a year old, I don't think ds would understand this at all. Not the concept of warnings and "would you like to come back and behave" and all that.
Yes, really. We did it for throwing food starting at 12 months. I knew DS was doing it for a reaction, and I don't play games like that.
I'd venture to guess that either he's not old enough to sit at the table and actually productively eat or he's doing it for a reaction.
Kids understand a lot more than we give them credit for. I've been in the minority about this before-but kids start to understand if-then situations pretty early. They don't get the impulse control until much later, but I have absolutely no problem ending something if DS is acting like a little shit.
Then again I'm mom of a kid who has gone to bed without dinner the past two nights because he thought it was more fun to sing songs, make his food into a pile, and then whine that "he didn't like it" (when he normally is fine with that particular meal). I set the alarm, the alarm went off, dinner was over.
J keeps telling me he has a poppy diaper right as he is getting ready to go pee or poop. Does this mean I should attempt potty training? How?? 3 day method?

Could it be your period? The same would happen to me when I first started. It bounced back after a few days.

Cab teething cause green poop in an EBF baby? We started puréed carrots Tuesday and he has had a little (less than an oz) every day. L has had green poop off and on for a week. He has pooped a lot more than usual the last 2 days and it has all been green.
It did for us. That is how I knew when DS was teething.

I haven't moved up and don't plan too. DS gets 3 bottles at day care 2 4oz bottles and 1 3 oz bottle and sometimes doesn't finish all of them. I produce a little more than that by pumping 2x per day so I like to stay ahead of the curve.

When should I start using conditioner on my DD's hair? She's 2 1/2 and we have just been using Aveeno baby shampoo every other day. She has very fine, thin, blob hair. Also, I would gladly take any recommendations for products.

No signs of my period. My breasts feel full too.
Which pump do you have? I've got a freestyle, and while I love the ease of portability, I've been having issues with the membranes. I called them the other day, and apparently it's not uncommon, so they overnighted me a new set. I've figured out a temporary work around, so PM me if you want more details.

Ugh, I struggle with this. Per our pedi's recommendation, we're now up to 6 ounce bottles. He was downing 5 ounces every 2 and a half hours (at daycare and with my husband, so I know it's not just them overfeeding him). The pedi says by now he should be eating every 3 or 4 hours during the day, so she had us up the intake. He's long and lean, and has been having trouble keeping weight up, so I'm not worried about overfeeding yet, but I do think about it.
