The rigid latch is one of the best features of the Foonf. I'm passing, too.
Is the rigid latch in RF mode too or just FFing?
Just FFing. I can get a crazy tight install, including running around to the rear to install the top tether, in about 15 seconds in my car. It's amazing.

You can use it in RF too, up to...29 lbs for the kid? I think?
You can rf with latch but it's not the rigid latch rfing. Still easy to install, though.
I read about the Fllo a few weeks back when re-researching seats after being rear-ended. It's not replacing the Foonf--the discounted Foonfs we're seeing right now are 2013 models that are a year or more out from their production dates. The Fllo is Clek's "lower-end" and lower-profile convertible. It should still be a very nice seat, but it does not have the base that the Foonf does, which means that it will be shorter. This is good for some people, but it looks like it means a rear-facing installation might be a bit more involved. Also, no ARB necessary for rear-facing installation. No rigid latch, as already mentioned. Here are The Baby Guy NYC's comparison charts:
Damn it! We just bought another Foonf a month ago!
Us too The one thing I don't like about the Foonf is its weight and I don't know possibly height since I don't have my car to try it in right now. A lighter seat would have served us better because of air travel but I'm pretty stoked that I was able to buy the gray and black one.

Why on earth do we have to switch a foonf to seatbelt install when rear-facing at 25 lbs? I've never heard that before. Does that go for other manufacturers as well?
