Looking to buy an OG bag... please let me know if you have one and want to sell it! Ebay doesn't have any and not sure I want to pay full price online.
I have the OMG and have grown to think it was a huge waste of money for what I wanted it for. The OG may have been better (my complaints about the OMG are that it doesn't hold enough and looks messy and overstuffed when I fill it), but I had ordered and returned the OG because it looked ridiculous on me - like, comically large (I'm 5'4").
What don't you like about it? Do you have a longchamp pilage? Trying to pick between the two... needing it for travel and to commute on Muni.
I have a Longchamp Le Pliage too (the medium one, so not one that would compete with an OG) and they're completely different bags. The Le Pliage is kind of an everyday tote, while the OG is a bit more specialized because of all the pockets and such.
For every day commuting, the OG would be overkill unless you bring a LOT of stuff with you. You can get a sense of how big it is here: galmeetsglam.com/2012/12/2775/

That is pretty big. Commuting by train is new to me, we moved from suburbia land and I am used to driving everywhere. I bring my lunch everyday and a pair of shoes to change into. My new job will be issuing me a laptop so I need to factor that in too. Such a hard decision!
I love my OG. I use it only for travel - it's too cumbersome for everyday use and IMO looks more like luggage than a business tote. I love the organizational features and it fits perfectly under an airline seat. It holds quite a bit - I took the OG and a large Longchamp Pliage on a 5 day trip to the Bahamas last year as my only luggage pieces - worked well for teeny planes and boats. It hasn't had a ton of use, but has held up well. My one complaint is I wished it zipped further down on the sides, it would make packing much easier.

I have one that is 2 months old. The catch is that one of the straps has detached from the side of the bag. The stitching pulled apart for some reason. If you know of a way to fix it you can have it.

Can you leave shoes at work? That's what I do so I don't have to commute in them but also don't have to carry them with me.
One note about the OG/OMG -- they only fit a 13" laptop in the laptop slot, so if yours is bigger...
Also, if your train tends to be crowded, having a monstrosity of a bag with you (and, therefore, on your lap in your small seat) is going to be a huge PITA.

I would DEFINITELY return it! I'm sure they'll take it back since it is defective. They have great customer service.
(And if Lo & Sons won't help you out, your credit card company may)

They sent me a brand new one. Didn't even ask me to return the one that broke. Their customer service was excellent with the exception of not being able to rush the order.

Ah yes -- now I remember this. You were in SF, right? Didn't remember that it was *that* bag!

I would wait til you know what size laptop you're getting, since that is a major factor in a commuting bag. I got the Brookline instead of the TT specifically because it was the only one that would accommodate my 15" Macbook Pro.
I have the OG and love it. I use it for travel, though, not an every day gym bag. It's large, and I'm 5'2, but it's usually on my suitcase or i have the shoulder strap across my body. I've preached the good word on it.
Unless you need a bag asap, I'd wait awhile for a discount code.
I love my OG and think it's a great size. I prefer it to travel to my large Longchamp. I find the pockets to be great, but I have pretty specialized things in each one.

The same thing happened to me, with the new one from Lo & Sons. I gave my old one to a friend, and a cobbler fixed it for like $10. Good as new. OP, a suggestion for how to fix it and have a free bag!

Oh, and there is a 20% code right now: SUMMERTIME14. I just got the email yesterday.
For work, every day, I prefer the Brookline. And frankly, when traveling for work now, I prefer that to the OG for my personal item. I agree the OG is sort of unwieldy, especially for every day.
There is a light used plum OG bag on eBay for $159 plus shipping. That's about as cheap as you will find, even with discount codes. Although it's only plum, it is a beautiful color!

Here is the link of the one of eBay. Only available for 5 more days!
It's not suspicious at all that these are your first two posts here and they link to an eBay sale.
I don't mean to be suspicious. I was looking for a Lo and Sons bag, but I am looking for the black and gold hardware. I was looking at different forums with Lo and Sons as a thread, but since I'm not interested in plum, I thought she might be. It's not even my sale on eBay, sorry to offend you?

My spidey sense is on high alert given recent events on these boards. I'm not offended, just wary. If you're a legit poster, feel free to join the community. It's just odd around here to resurrect old threads, especially when you're a new poster with any kind of sales pitch.
I do apologize for alerting any spidey-senses. Lo and Sons bags are quite expensive, and like the original poster, I am looking for a way to obtain one without shelling $300. I have been trolling eBay looking for one as well as following other forums with the Lo and Sons thread. The original poster said she had not seen any on eBay as of late, however, one was posted a few days ago. I'm not exactly sure how this particular forum works, but I thought I might register so I could let her know that one was available on eBay as I will not be purchasing it for myself.
