Does anyone have the Deceptively Delicious cookbook by Jessica Seinfeld? Is it any good? Or have another rec?
ds used to gobble up anything I put in front of him, he even ate kale! But now as far as fruits and veggies, he will only eat bananas, sometimes sweet potatoes, and sometimes veggies like peas and carrots if they are mixed in with mac n cheese. He puts them to his mouth, giggles, then feeds them to me or dh.
I should probably start making more of an effort to just mix stuff in. I do some things, but could always use new ideas! Dh and I eat a ton of produce and it sucks to have ds not eat one bite of food we make
Will he do smoothies? I add spinach, kale, cucumber, etc to smoothies and DD loves them. I guess it's along the same lines as the fruit pouches but I feel like they're a bit healthier when I make them. I also just constantly have veggies out. We buy veggie trays and regularly leave them on the coffee table to snack on, DD does now too. She also loves anything she can dip, have you tried peppers and hummus or veggies with salad dressing.
I keep referring to high school kids, but we used this in nutrition class and they liked the recipes. They knew what was in it because they made it, so it wasn't "deceptive", but they were pretty good considering it was pureed beans in a cookie.
